Have you ever been reduced to eating dog/cat food or food not meant for human consumption?

Here are all three of my eating animal food stories:

1. I ate 2 - 3 dog biscuits near the tale end of a party (age 18ish), the first one on a dare, the others because I realized I was really freakin hungry and literally the only food in the house was these dog biscuits

2. I (very stoned) thought hey maybe I can make something like a tuna sandwich with wet cat food & pickle relish...turns out it doesn't work that way...AND the cat freaks out when you eat his food

3. we made dog biscuits at my restaurant as prizes for a dog costume contest (every dog who entered I wanted to punch), and I couldn't help but not try one. Quality control, right.

Friend accidentally used cat food instead of tuna on a sandwich. When the error was pointed out, he simply scraped the cat food off and proceeded with as normal o_0

At Safeway a few weeks ago, I was buying something like 20 cans of dog food because running out sucks. The cashier looked me in the eye, and quietly - but not quietly enough to keep everyone else in line from hearing - asked "Do you have to eat that?"

lol inappropriate service workers

Chris Evans did this on his radio 2 show last night (as he had been told that all petfood in the UK has to come from animal 'products' that are in the human food chain). He ate 'chicken doughnuts' dog treats, a lamb in jelly dog food and a fish flavoured catfood. It sounded as though he was retching a bit at one point.

I would occasionally eat cat biscuits when I was a kid.

I've tried a couple of different kinds of dog biscuits, just out of curiousity. Most of them are pretty dry and bland. Either the dogs are responding to something I'm not sensitive enough to appreciate, or the power of positive conditioning is truly amazing. There are so many dogs what would do just about ANYTHING for one of those hard, crumbly chunks.
