I don't recognise this team, usually England play like they know they're going to lose. This team seems... spirited?

Popture, Saturday, 14 June 2014 22:09 (nine years ago) link

sauna livened them up?

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Saturday, 14 June 2014 22:10 (nine years ago) link

it sounds like pnev is concentrating v v v hard on whatever advice gnev has told him

("just keep saying candreva lad")

r|t|c, Saturday, 14 June 2014 22:10 (nine years ago) link

shooting as soon as they see the whites of the keeper's eyes

Roberto Spiralli, Saturday, 14 June 2014 22:11 (nine years ago) link

Yeah is this spirited performance actually going to mean just a load of 30 yard shots?

oppet, Saturday, 14 June 2014 22:16 (nine years ago) link

It's either that all they all play like Rooney... he's on the pitch, right?

Popture, Saturday, 14 June 2014 22:17 (nine years ago) link

Prev... Good lord...

Not a surprise I suppose that Phil Neville is trending worldwide on twitter. Back to you, John Virgo.

r|t|c, Saturday, 14 June 2014 22:30 (nine years ago) link

twp is here because one of his cunts is the plan b

Who whom kissed? (imago), Saturday, 14 June 2014 22:31 (nine years ago) link

There are rather too many 22-yard flyers in this game for its own good, really. It started off pretty swift but it's very quickly turned into the last 10 minutes of Chile-Australia (the bits of that that weren't BEAUSEJOUR, obv)

William Bloody Swygart, Saturday, 14 June 2014 22:31 (nine years ago) link

Genuinely happy for Rooney not to be considered the main man, the only man, this time round.

As usual England looking pretty good in the first 45mins of a World Cup. They'll be knackered after 60mins, Italy look like they're conserving so much more energy.

Matt DC, Saturday, 14 June 2014 22:32 (nine years ago) link

The man with the combination to the safe -- is that a bingo square?

OK, so occasionally the 22-yarder does work.
