Seeing them for the first time next month as a longtime fan.

Gave the new record a cursory listen over the weekend. I generally preferred the delicacy of the debut to the wider screen, Conor Oberst-assisted second album, but "Emmylou" is probably their finest moment so far.

so i'm seeing this appear on a lot of end of years lists. i have only listen to once and have a feeling it get better with repeat listens.

Something about the idea of this band turned me off from the start, but then some months back I heard a song and thought it was lovely, so I bought the album. But I've not listened to a note of it yet, which sums it up for me.
