Pizza doesn't really seem like a signifier of "post-Y2K punk cool, childhood lolstalgia, and "so random" larfs." It is a signifier of something, and there is nostalgia involved but I don't think it's supposed to be funny or punk.

First time I was aware of nostalgia/LOL/punk qualities of pizza meme-ification was seeing a tattoo on a crust punk 7 or 8 years ago. Instead of a tattoo of a tear, it was a pizza slice.

And holy crap I just realized, is the "Crust" in "Crust Punk" related to pizza? As in, crust punks only eat trashed food/the leftover crusts of society?
