Also keep in mind that industry types, especially rap industry types, are shady characters. This child porn charge is a stand-out, to be sure, but shootouts among entourages, gun charges, anddrugs all around the industry don't really make for a soapbox that anyone can preach to R Kelly from. "Internet liberal" might be a better/less self-consciously aggressive term but it does feel a lot more unified politically than it used to.
