Neil S, Wednesday, 6 August 2008 12:42 (fifteen years ago) link

It is nice

Tom D., Wednesday, 6 August 2008 12:44 (fifteen years ago) link

Who would've thought Harmison would trigger a collapse like that!

Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 7 August 2008 14:09 (fifteen years ago) link

Not Louis, that's for sure

Tom D., Thursday, 7 August 2008 14:10 (fifteen years ago) link

Just got offed, Thursday, 7 August 2008 14:13 (fifteen years ago) link

He's bowling a helluva lot better than Broad anyway.

Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 7 August 2008 14:17 (fifteen years ago) link

this is very true

Just got offed, Thursday, 7 August 2008 14:20 (fifteen years ago) link

Monty gets the cheat out!

Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 7 August 2008 14:39 (fifteen years ago) link

What a day :)

Jarlrmai, Thursday, 7 August 2008 14:55 (fifteen years ago) link

Only problem is we can bat even worse

Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:01 (fifteen years ago) link

Century partnership coming up for Morkel and Harris?

Tom D., Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:07 (fifteen years ago) link

"Panesar doesn't see it initially; sets off... eventually."

Love 'im.

Upt0eleven, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:11 (fifteen years ago) link

KP's all-new inclusive policy of giving the kid a bowl pays off handesomely.

Just got offed, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:12 (fifteen years ago) link

Broad gets a wicket!

Neil S, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:13 (fifteen years ago) link

haha morkel went off the wrong way straight to the groundsmans shed instead of the pavillion

Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:13 (fifteen years ago) link

That all-night bender is really catching up with the Safricans.

Internet Claim: England Owes Success to Walkabout Pub Chain

Tom D., Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:15 (fifteen years ago) link

"handesomely" wtf

Just got offed, Thursday, 7 August 2008 15:17 (fifteen years ago) link

194 all out

Herman G. Neuname, Thursday, 7 August 2008 16:07 (fifteen years ago) link

Good times.

[Won last night so we're through to the semi-finals of the play-offs. Two juicy cover drives for four resulted in my top score for the season of 8. Out bowled having completely lost track of where the ball was. Bowled one and dropped a catch off my own bowling. Conceded rather a lot of extras. Good times.]

caek, Thursday, 7 August 2008 16:20 (fifteen years ago) link

LOL

Ed, Thursday, 7 August 2008 16:34 (fifteen years ago) link

Haha, Channel 5 had the gall to reunite Harmison and Boycott, once so animated in another's offence! The kiss and make up ceremony as conducted by Sparky Nicholas. Dear me!

kp dropped twice.

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 8 August 2008 14:25 (fifteen years ago) link

Century for KP

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 8 August 2008 14:48 (fifteen years ago) link

KP out

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 8 August 2008 14:49 (fifteen years ago) link

Typical. He is incapable of doing anything without drama!

Neil S, Friday, 8 August 2008 14:51 (fifteen years ago) link

HOW DARE HE SACK HIM

Just got offed, Friday, 8 August 2008 14:52 (fifteen years ago) link

Seriously I can't get angry at a man who's just made a hundred but come on Kev, make some double tons.

Jarlrmai, Friday, 8 August 2008 14:58 (fifteen years ago) link

I'm not saying that's a bad thing! Flintoff is looking in the mood...

Neil S, Friday, 8 August 2008 15:01 (fifteen years ago) link

huge 6!

Jarlrmai, Friday, 8 August 2008 15:17 (fifteen years ago) link

flintoff out

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 8 August 2008 15:26 (fifteen years ago) link

gah

Jarlrmai, Friday, 8 August 2008 15:28 (fifteen years ago) link

Time for Broadys 1st century

Jarlrmai, Friday, 8 August 2008 15:29 (fifteen years ago) link

I'll venture to say we'll have a new keeper for the winter tour.

Just got offed, Friday, 8 August 2008 15:40 (fifteen years ago) link

Not gonna be much of a lead. Shocking stuff since KP got out

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 8 August 2008 16:25 (fifteen years ago) link

Is Anderson finally going to get his first duck?

Just got offed, Friday, 8 August 2008 16:28 (fifteen years ago) link

useless cunts

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 8 August 2008 16:28 (fifteen years ago) link

you can bet the sa opening partnership will soon rattle off the lead.

Herman G. Neuname, Friday, 8 August 2008 16:28 (fifteen years ago) link

Can we have a teeny bit of positivity? Batting isn't that easy out there, and yr talking like a tabloid headline. Plus, Anderson's avoided the duck again!

Just got offed, Friday, 8 August 2008 16:33 (fifteen years ago) link

I mean there's no sophistication to your game analysis, it's always absolutes. A very immature mentality.

Just got offed, Friday, 8 August 2008 16:34 (fifteen years ago) link

Is that a joke or should I start Googling GIFs of pots and kettles?

caek, Friday, 8 August 2008 16:53 (fifteen years ago) link

Since when has my cricket analysis been comprised of non-jokey absolutes?

Just got offed, Friday, 8 August 2008 16:55 (fifteen years ago) link

I mean there aren't many topics on ILX where I consider myself to be an authority, hence I'm almost always content to defer to those of greater knowledge/experience. But, fuck, not cricket.

Just got offed, Friday, 8 August 2008 17:01 (fifteen years ago) link

No need to be calling people immature just because you disagree with them though.

Neil S, Friday, 8 August 2008 17:02 (fifteen years ago) link

It's not so much disagreement as exasperation at the whole "stupid cunts mess up again grumble grumble we're the worst team in the world" attitude that Mr. Neuname is espousing. He's not alone either. We don't know whether England will win this Test, but what's clear is that they are very much on top with a 100-run first-innings lead at least (more if Harmison keeps firing).

Just got offed, Friday, 8 August 2008 17:04 (fifteen years ago) link

But it's not "immature". Pessimistic perhaps, but not immature.

Neil S, Friday, 8 August 2008 17:06 (fifteen years ago) link

Yeah, I was more talking about

A very immature mentality.
A very immature mentality.
A very immature mentality.
A very immature mentality.
A very immature mentality.

and, to a lesser extent

it's always absolutes
it's always absolutes
it's always absolutes

caek, Friday, 8 August 2008 17:15 (fifteen years ago) link

Yeah, and I was only talking about those things in a cricketing context. You're a little guilty of ad hominem in this case, caek.

Just got offed, Friday, 8 August 2008 17:21 (fifteen years ago) link

Harmison misses a 50 in the most predictable manner imaginable. Monty really is the biggest spacker in the universe. Bastards. String 'em up.
