please tell me this one features big rock candy mountain as a lyrical bass--because if it does, we have a 1930s hobo folk song being updated (as disco hip hop crunk) to sell fast food, and if that is the case, it has reached bizzarre levels of postmodern new hisoricism.

its more complicated then that--its like, you know the poor had to dream about food (and liqour) because they could not get it, because big corprations are evil--but now burger king is sayiung not only do we love (camp/kitsch/nostalgia/artifice) we love you enough to provide you with cheap, available food t hat is good enough for your hobo ancestors to give up paradise for--but it will be served to you by a black man in a cowboy outfit.

(that said, its amazingly fotographed, and it caught me/gave me pangs)

I could be wrong, Anthony, but I thought they had a big ad campaign about that a few years back -- kind of a "your way, right away, whenever you fucking want it" sort of thing. I don't think it was McDonald's, since I think it was one of those things that Burger King came up with to further distinguish themselves from McD's.

If it would be possible to describe a television commerical for a fast food chain featuring a musician whose music I have never cared for but I am sure is pleasant enough human being as "haunting" and/or "sppoky", then I would submit that this commerical is both "haunting" and "spooky". In a good sense.
