I would like to post some photos to help you out, especially after I didn't believe you earlier. Your sincerity rings truer now and I'm sorry for what I said earlier.
What really sucks is that my home was broken into last week, and only my camera was taken. Initially, I thought I was lucky since none of the hundreds of beautiful replica championship wrestling belts were stolen. I have a room devoted solely to showcasing these wonderful belts. But now that I'd like to post photos for you, I would gladly exchange one or maybe two belts if I could just get my camera back. Maybe I don't actually need so many belts. Oh, and I'm 41.

I'm trying to collect hundreds of belts before I'm 41 too. It also looks like I should buy more than one camera as well.

NoTimeBeforeTime (Barry Bruner), Monday, 10 April 2006 04:34 (eighteen years ago) link

I got up to 13 replica belts last year. But last October my friend who only had 11 belts challenged me to a no holds barred undisputed championship match and he made me tap out with the normally illegal crossface penisring and he went away with 24 belts.

nah its ok theodore but i really want some pics man
i just wanted to see what ur graphics are. what do u make them out of? how long does it take you?

T-bone, Tuesday, 11 April 2006 05:42 (eighteen years ago) link

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I was working in my championship replica belt room all day today. It's not easy T-Bone, there does happen to be an adandoned prison near where I live and I'm able to use the machine that the inmates once used to make license plates. Think about it, making a belt is really not that different from making a license plate. For graphics, I first used the original WWF Hogan belt from the 80s that I have with an action figure to get the oringal logo down exact.

T- It all amounts to what kind of belt you are trying to reproduce. For text, I would pay attention to the different type face in the books you like. Think about the shape of letters as an aesthetic to base your own text around. It's tough to put into words because it's basically all I do now I guess. It's a mechaincal instinct at this point. I mean, think about it, It's been over twenty years and I've made hundreds of these things.

Stay motivated T-Bone and you'll do fine.

Ken C- ha ha! I'm so sorry to hear about that man. That's why I would't let my friends look at my belts, or even let them in my belt room. That is, I wouldn't if I had the time to have friends. As it stands, I'm far too busy maintaining the belt room and the belts themselves for any relationships platonic or otherwise.

ChiXors love title belts, dude! You're missing out. Title belts are the best bling there is.

NoTimeBeforeTime (Barry Bruner), Wednesday, 12 April 2006 06:53 (eighteen years ago) link

My belt has no frivolous adornments or markings, only dynamite.

You're not going to kick out of an illicit shot from that title belt, y'knahtm'fuckinsayin? You may get a foot on the rope but it will only be because it has been blown clean from your body. Glory to Allah.

Everybody, if you have MSN Messenger, please add me. My account name is Trevor_Rulz92@hotmail.com! I'm Australian!
So anyway back to the story. Theodore, you haven't replied! I need help, fast! LOL, not really, but I want to make a modified replica of the now defunct WWF Hardcore Championship. I need help. Give me a full lengthy insight on how to do it please. I can't make it out of metal. HELP! LOL, please man.
Also Theodore, what wrestling promotions do you watch and what wrestlers and wrestling moves dop you like?

T-Bone, Sunday, 16 April 2006 02:21 (eighteen years ago) link

OK. Theodore, I am only 14 years of age, so I do not have access to anything that is like what you are making your Championship Belts out of. I really need to know what the hell I can make it out of. I want to make a belt that is similar to the now defunct WWF Hardcore Championship.
Theodore, I need you to give me an extremely long insight from start to finish on how I should make it. And when it is complete Theodore, I'm gonna' make the old 24/7 rule LOL. So if my Dad pins me I can wake up early in the morning and pin him while he is asleep HAHAHA! But I need to make it first so please reply quickly! I want to start like as soon as possible!
Also Theodore, what wrestling propmotions do you like/watch, and what wrestlers and wrestling moves do you like?

Sorry. I wish you the best of luck (you're the same age I was when I first started moy own belt making hobby) the thing is Trevor, I have major moral qualms about contributuing to anything even remotely having to do with "hardcore" wrestling. I'm not against letting people have their fun but I do not like "hardcore" wrestling. I did not not like nor respect ECW nor anything influenced by it. The last live event I've ever attended was the ECW One Night Stand show and the only reason I attended was because I had a strong feeling that my favorite person in wrestling (and the greatest mind the wrestling business has ever known) Eric Bischoff was going to show up and show finally those ECW fans how wrong they are and have been all along. I tried to start a "Bisch-off!...Bisch-off!" chant but I got shouted down by those mutants. That evening didn't end well at all either. The show should have ended in a manner completely opposite as to how it actually ended in my opinion.

So to answer your other question, I haven't really watched any WWE or any other wrestling promotions since Bischoff's departure as Raw GM. I'm mainly interested in maintaining and updating my belt collection. Sometimes I can spend 24 hours straight in that room...taking things off one wall, putting them on another, and eventually putting it back in the same place. For Easter my mother bought me a suit cut by Biscoff's actual tailor, a replica of the one worn by Bischoff on his first Raw appearance. I look forward to wearing it as I catalogue my belt collection.

Also, did I mention that in the early 90s, as rap music was starting to assert it's identity in the pop music landscape, I designed a spinner style belt exactly in the style that is currently worn by current champ John Cena? Well, I did and I can't talk much about it now but I will embark on a lawsuit in the very near future to halt the use of the spinner belt until I'm rightly compensated financially. It's a lot of work putting a major lawsuit together. Unfortunately, this will take me away from the wrestling message boards and the Eric Bischoff yahoo group I started, hence the late replies to your questions. But again, good luck on your endeavors. Perhaps find a good photo of the hardcore title, show it to an art teacher or someone in your school that works with crafts, those people tend be very good with what materials are good for constructing objects such as this.

theodore (herbert hebert), Monday, 17 April 2006 12:39 (eighteen years ago) link

Oh man. I thought you would be a good help. I don't understand your "dislikes" for "hardcore" wrestling. I love good quality, technical wrestling as much if not more than any wrestling fan does in the whole world. But "Hardcore" wrestling is so exciting. Man you suck lol. OK...if i were to make anybelt what should I use. and tell me y u dont like hardcore wrestling.

Trevor, Tuesday, 18 April 2006 06:35 (eighteen years ago) link

Look Theodore, you need to hurry up and reply. You are one sad SOB if you don't respect ECW. Why don't you respect ECW?
Dude, you can't stop the Spinner WWE Championship... THERE AINT NO STOPPIN IT NOOOOOW!

Just because I know you'll Laugh, I was doing this trick and I decided to not put on shoes. Well my lawn guys haven't come yet so my lawn wasn't mowed, So as I'm getting the belt to take inside and clean, I step on a wasp hive and 3 wasps STING me right between my toes, so I am in agony but my belt looks great
