Indiana - Kentucky - Tennessee and eastward

The weather has been freaking weird all day. When I was going to work, to the east it was a bright clear sunny day and yet it was raining quite hard with the sky to the west being really dark as dusk. It was a strange mix and the lighting on everything was really odd. There is something about it raining hard with the sun out bright and shining that is just unsettling.

I thought the weather guy on CNN right now looked familiar... I think it was the one who was so wound up about a weather crisis a few months ago that he yelled at the anchor to let him finish and not interrupt. He's getting pretty wound up now, too.

Christ, did someone leave the door to Canada open again?

The weatherman was SO excited yesterday! It's 70 degrees with gale force winds today and snow is predicted for the weekend.

There's thunder and lightning in IN right now, but it's about 55. Supposed to snow tomorrow.

Tep lives in Indiana, doesn't he?

San Francisco is more warm and balmy than it's been all year.

the worst has already passed over Tep in Bloomington I think. Well, the first of the worst, there's a second line going across IN right now.

It was really nice over the weekend there, yeah -- but apparently it had been raining all week beforehand?

It was in the upper seventies when I came to work this morning. Hell blew through early this afternoon, and now it's in the forties and falling.

Okay, NOW I'm terrified.

My great-grandmother used to say this meant the devil was beating his wife.

Got email from Tep. Three tornado sirens in 20 minutes, but the first wave this afternoon passed him okay.

We are not amused.

haha, I heard the same saying about the devil.

Yah I just got an email from Tep too, saying the tornadey sirens went off where he is.

I hope he'll be ok! :/

I had no idea there were many other Midwestern ILM-ers, let alone that there was anyone else in Bloomington! The very odds...

At any rate, the tornadoes completely bypassed Bloomington, assuming they ever even touched down at all. This was the second major tornado scare in as many weeks, though. It's getting a little old at this point.

Hey well! Someone else I can visit in Bloomington when/if I visit then =)

Well hey! Sure, but you might wanna wait until God stops being all wrath-y.

By the way: I'm a lurker here, for all intents and purposes. But I'm the Fluxblog designer/illustrator. So you might "know" me anyway.

God never stops being wrath-y in Tornado Alley. (The stormy edge of the cold front has just about passed here, safe to plug the computer back in.)

Tep was saying the low pressure thingy was making his head go all woozy! That must be some weird shit to deal with.

Glad y'all havent done a Dorothy on me :)

Yeah, we lost our internal modem this week here in the Great Thunderstorms of November 2005. We bought an external one tonight, and I can't help but look at it like it's some sort of electronic colostomy bag sitting there on the edge of my desk.

four years pass...

That other thread reminded me - I am in Indianapolis (or just South) and in Kentucky (Somerset) in a couple of weeks. Indy I know all too well by now, but what can I see in KY? I have been to Louisville for a night and that's it.
