CHROMEO

I love the new album, and especially the extended tracks. They feel like updated 70s/80s funk 12"s that are still fun and listenable despite somewhat weak hooks because of good instrumentation and flow. Jealous is the clear standout and the only one that really works as a sub 4 minute pop track.

Really didn't expect Chromeo to be the first people to be given a shot at the Lorde single, but I'm quite taken with this:

"Jealous" got a lot of mainstream and background music play... good for them. The album went to #11.

this is so pleasant, and works great next to the Calvin Harris songs on my summer playlist (which is still funny to me—never would have believed a year ago would be a statement that made any sense)

I'd really love for Chromeo to become bigger stars now that even Bruno Mars has stole their thunder.

it seems amazing that in the post-Uptown Funk world Chromeo are still a second-tier act but then you see a video like that and it all makes sense
