TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 23 July 2014 20:50 (nine years ago) link

surely it is mere coincidence that URL Badman has not made the R1 playlist

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 23 July 2014 21:00 (nine years ago) link

lol

dyl, Wednesday, 23 July 2014 22:49 (nine years ago) link

"Maybe the songs aren’t good enough this time, who knows?"

I know. They aren't.

Johnny Fever, Thursday, 24 July 2014 00:16 (nine years ago) link

Hang on, R1 gave her a whole hour last night to play whatever she wanted. So is she including herself in this critique?

Jeff W, Thursday, 24 July 2014 13:46 (nine years ago) link

lol i just noticed what the first song she played in that hour was

"started from the bottom"

TracerHandVEVO (Tracer Hand), Tuesday, 29 July 2014 16:32 (nine years ago) link

three years pass...

brackEt, Saturday, 9 June 2018 23:46 (five years ago) link

brackEt, Saturday, 9 June 2018 23:46 (five years ago) link

Sounds like rough draft of a Xgau review

i’m still stanning (morrisp), Sunday, 10 June 2018 00:24 (five years ago) link

“this summer’s biggest racist”???

Mr. Snrub, Sunday, 10 June 2018 01:00 (five years ago) link

Thread title was altered when the Sheezus videos came out.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 10 June 2018 01:05 (five years ago) link

reluctantly admitting that i'm enjoying a lot of the new album. i guess she's my charlie puth of 2018

monotony, Sunday, 10 June 2018 07:08 (five years ago) link

I guess I should check this out since Piers Morgan is a hater on the basis that my enemy’s enemy is my friend.

Dan Worsley, Sunday, 10 June 2018 10:13 (five years ago) link

This album is actually really good. And I thought I detested her. Lolz on me.

human and working on getting beer (longneck), Sunday, 10 June 2018 10:32 (five years ago) link

track one = best thing she's ever done.

piscesx, Sunday, 10 June 2018 11:31 (five years ago) link

it was the "hard out here" video that precipitated the title change i think

dyl, Sunday, 10 June 2018 12:58 (five years ago) link

Yeah, I think it should be changed back - there's worse than that out there these days

Mark G, Sunday, 10 June 2018 13:42 (five years ago) link

as opposed to 2013, when Lily Allen was the worst racist in the entire world

we used to get our kicks reading surfing MAGAzines (sic), Sunday, 10 June 2018 14:04 (five years ago) link

It was "biggest hit" originally. Move on rather than back? This summers biggest bid for career rehab?
A side-poll is probably required.

Jeff W, Sunday, 10 June 2018 14:11 (five years ago) link

Thread title always makes me chuckle.

✖✖✖ (Moka), Sunday, 10 June 2018 15:20 (five years ago) link

lets not forget her tweeting a photo of cock dressed up like a golliwog to azealia banks

devvvine, Sunday, 10 June 2018 15:24 (five years ago) link

Seems weird for a mod to editorially change a thread title like that (if only for how it changes the context of the original posts, etc.); but I’ll assume that fight has been fought

Most Improved Racist 2018

U. K. Le Garage (wins), Sunday, 10 June 2018 15:50 (five years ago) link

She gave a really good interview on, of all places, Seth Meyers' Late Night show podcast, and got into the Sheezus era a little bit and how she was flailing and unsure of herself and was basically making choices based on committee approval. It doesn't excuse some things, of course, but it does answer some questions.

Johnny Fever, Sunday, 10 June 2018 16:00 (five years ago) link

I hope this thread doesn't force me into thinking I need to listen to a Lily Allen song.

Mario Meatwagon (Moodles), Sunday, 10 June 2018 16:26 (five years ago) link

STOP CHANGING THREAD TITLES.

GDPR vs GAPDY (DJP), Sunday, 10 June 2018 19:01 (five years ago) link

some of the tunes here are really nice

i do find it EXTREMELY ODD that for a hot moment lily allen was felt to be somehow vital and on the pulse of things

illegal economic migration (Tracer Hand), Thursday, 14 June 2018 21:29 (five years ago) link

Oh come on in 2006-07 she was bang in the middle of the British zeitgeist (read - was regularly in the Hawley Arms).

Matt DC, Thursday, 14 June 2018 21:47 (five years ago) link

lol i know i'm not questioning it! i was there! it felt right! it also now seems EXTREMELY ODD!

illegal economic migration (Tracer Hand), Thursday, 14 June 2018 21:54 (five years ago) link

Her new album is shockingly great. Family Man, Come On, Three and Everything To Feel Something are all devastating.

kitchen person, Saturday, 16 June 2018 19:12 (five years ago) link

three years pass...

the list is huge

brimstead, Friday, 18 February 2022 05:15 (two years ago) link

What list?

Out of the loop.

✖✖✖ (Moka), Friday, 18 February 2022 07:53 (two years ago) link

She’s always seemed super obnoxious in every interview I’ve seen of her.

✖✖✖ (Moka), Friday, 18 February 2022 07:55 (two years ago) link

Wait, what’s the context on this thread title?

✖✖✖ (Moka), Friday, 18 February 2022 08:07 (two years ago) link

it was changed over the years when she said something racist I guess. Originally "biggest hit" iirc

StanM, Friday, 18 February 2022 08:09 (two years ago) link

Cruel to revive this in February imo.

Daniel_Rf, Friday, 18 February 2022 10:35 (two years ago) link

which list? why February? wth is going on? lol

StanM, Friday, 18 February 2022 10:58 (two years ago) link

Hmm, it took years for the Morrissey thread to get renamed, whereas this one was as swiftasyerlike.
