i never said about the guy on this thread but I was surprised to find him here after I started lurking/posting on ilx because he'd been on another board I'd frequented before finding ilx. Same posting style, same unrelentingly positive outlook about boosting whatever he was into. kind of felt like the early internet years where people who didn't know other people irl with the same interests and the ability to find a group /just for that thing/ on the internet was novel

it was a bulletin-board style site similar to (but much uglier than) ILX for nerds to argue about 90s indie rock (Pavement, primarily). Morbz, Johnny Fever, and several other ILXors gradually migrated over here
