Is it any good? I haven't listened to it yet (and unfortunately my needle has gone to shit so I can't listen to it at the moment)

Oh. That was a picture of Ronnie Lane's See Me LP from 1980 but doesn't seem to work for me.

How good would his health had been by then? I can't remember when he passed away.

He died in 1997, but had been battling MS since at least 1976.

have never seen a cheap copy of this. i think it has never been released in the us? i recently bought the island reissue. great record, but yes that break your jaw line jumped out at me too.
