A Los Angeles County judge ordered singer Chris Brown to stay in jail without bail until April 23, pending a hearing to determine whether he violated terms of his probation.

Judge James Brandlin said Brown, who was arrested on Friday, was kicked out of his rehab program in Malibu after touching a female and failing to take a drug test.

there was a Trina/Lil Mo remix of "Cut Her Off" the other day too. although honestly the K Camp song is so vile that i kinda wish someone did a version that just went over the top in the other direction ("it ain't nothin' to cut his dick off").

"cut her off" is probably more offensive but "loyal" is incredibly annoying because as a song, the beat and the hook, it's excellent and always stuck in my head, but the sentiment isn't just awful but whiny and entitled with it. so thank fuck for the k michelle and lil mo remixes

tbh i didn't read the hairpin piece, so am opening now.

i don't think writing about hit songs absolutely necessitates acknowledging mixtape freestyles, every hit song has those, pretty frequently ones that flip gender roles. if anything i feel like the real corrective to songs like "Loyal" being on the radio is having something like "Can't Raise A Man" on the radio at the same time.

at least it seems a bit strict if the only legit way of criticizing "Loyal" is by doing a cover version with improved lyrics
