anyway, while (a) i woulda liked to have seen stender beat ferguson in NJ-07 (my parents' district, and the current district of my old hometown); (b) i woulda LOVED to have seen lieberman eat shit and lose (and thereby spare everyone the grief that i believe from the bottom of my heart that he is going to unleash [though i would love to be proven wrong on this account]); and (c) i woulda LOVED to have had VA and MO definitely settled before i go to bed (as in like right now); on the whole i am rather pleased with tonight's results.

a poll out last night showed Burner leading early voters by 8 and trailing the rest by 5, which put her in a statistical tie. i figure her voters are more motivated, and while the CW is rain favors the GOP, i think she wins in a nailbiter.

CNN say VA. votes to be canvassed til Nov.27, *then* (if winner still ahead by only 1%), then they have a recount. So right after that, they show Webb declaring VICTOREE, with still 1% of precincts (18 precincts )still to be counted the first time. But yes, McC.'s ahead by 1400 votes now, and still got most of St.Louis to report
