A FOOTBALL hooligan was banned from matches for three years yesterday after shouting insults at star Dwight Yorke.
David Ashcroft, 22, hurled abuse at the former Birmingham City striker as he warmed up to play against Blackburn Rovers.
Ashcroft, of Leyland, Lancs, admitted public order offences and was also fined £200 plus £80 costs by Blackburn magistrates.
An original charge of using racially aggravated language was dropped.
Ashcroft is the fifth man to be banned after the incident at Ewood Park last November.
