My favourite song about smoking:

39. Tex Williams - Smoke Smoke Smoke That Cigarette (Puff puff puff and if you smoke yourself to death/Tell St. Peter at the Golden Gate/That you hate to make him wait/But you've gotta have another cigarette)

Also:

40. The Lucksmiths - Smokers in Love

Hmm, despite being a heavy smoker, I seem to be erring towards anti-smoking songs here. I shall have to think about positive ones.

Yeah, Sinatra is good on this as well. But Chet Baker personifies the idea of the rotted-out, nodding-off smoker...

Tweet, "Smoking Cigarettes" -> such a great song

Nathalie (stevienixed), Tuesday, 3 March 2009 20:12 (fifteen years ago) link

good news: the twelfth hour is the worst, all the others are piss easy
bad news: it comes back every day,
good news: and after a while only every second day...

the only reason why i didn't smoke in the last 7 months is that quitting was much more difficult than i thought. before i had always assumed i could stop at any day but i never stopped for more than 4 weeks. i don't want to waste all that energy i have put into not smoking!

I"Fodderstompf" DOES mention smoking:
"I’m just gonna go and get a cigarette do you want one
Yes please
Wont be a second
Okay"

I had to go listen to it after thinking about it. I haven't heard it in about, oh never mind it's nauseating to think of how many decades. It's just as I remembered it.
