I love the off-the-rails mad scientist feel of "Get On Your Boots"! "Breathe" is really funny, too. I keep wondering if "White As Snow" was meant to sound like U2 because instrumentally it really does, or at least like they sounded back when I used to like them!

The new U2 album is out today and we are bewildered that only one customer has ordered it from us. Many ordered the single which only results in more head-scratching about the album. (Speaking of the single, Get On Your Boots, we are attempting to track down the 3-Track CD single and will hopefully have that next week.)

It's tough to compete one price with the retail giants, but we're pretty sure we have the lowest price on the Vinyl release, plus we've finally activated and confirmed the Japanese Edition which does have one Bonus Track.

I like a lot of this! I think the Elvis Telecom track before it goes noizy is the high point (I like it after that as well, just not as much)

all i can say is it was awesome to contribute a jam to this, and that i am glad i bothered recording the vocal because it had to be done in one take in a closet while my wife was asleep and sick

Oasis are gorn, all the other bands that might have qualified for this kind of 'tribute' are not exactly superpremier league anymore (Stones, REM) and no-one else 'winds up' the select few like U2.

There's a partial and totally speculative tracklisting here, but it's not enough to go on. Also half of the tracks they list are out-takes from "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb", so probably won't be on "Songs of Ascent" anyway. The only confirmed song is "Every Breaking Wave".
