Really the amazing thing is that a drunk and stoned teenage boy was arrested in Miami Beach, and he wasn't coming from Alfred's house.

Amazing. He's like Joffrey Baratheon wearing a shellsuit jacket my mum had in 1992.

bizarro gazzara, Monday, 10 March 2014 13:49 (ten years ago) link

Ha, I can totally see him ordering someone killed and his lawyer being all "well, um, Justin, that's illegal. And you're in a filmed deposition."

Josh in Chicago, Monday, 10 March 2014 13:52 (ten years ago) link

Would you please look at the film that's up there?
-This is a film? This is a film?
Pause it. ... Would you please watch the television?
-You said it's a film. You said "watch the film". Is this a film?
Is there a difference between a film and something else?
-Yeee-es.

wow what a thing

what the lawyer interviewing him seems like sleazy amateur-hour too.

Lawyer doing the interview clearly getting off on bullying Bieber. Not at all a defence of Bieber, but the lawyer isn't exactly doing his best to keep it professional.

biebers lawyer even more unprofessional... feel like "be a lawyer, man" could have legs as thing lawyers say ironically to each other form now on

AIDS (Hungry4Ass), Monday, 10 March 2014 20:15 (ten years ago) link

imagine if you had the opportunity to depose bieber - youd be a fuckin smug dick too. I would relish every second of it.

these things tend to never see the light of day so its not surprising.

Fetchboy, Monday, 10 March 2014 21:38 (ten years ago) link

wow. plaintiff's lawyer seemed like a goof, but maybe he (a) was intimidated by bieber's stardom, entourage or high-priced defense counsel (although i'd think plaintiff's counsel would return to his senses once he remembers he's deposing an arrogant, empty-headed, 20 year-old dummy), (b) wasn't prepared (if you don't have materials to impeach or contradict a deponent, you're often just conducting a "discovery deposition," which can be fumbling), and/or (c) was intentionally prodding bieber for a reaction (a common tactic, to capture just those moments that bieber gave -- on videotape! -- or to assess the quality of a witness). i'm most curious about the depo-prep bieber had with his lawyer.

he graffitied an outside wall at a hotel here, it was front page news for weeks, the mayor was absolutely disgusted with him and commanded him to perform at the mayoral christmas carols shindig at the broadwater as reparation which so did not happen.

I love how he says "I don't recall" with a total smirk, as if he'd just remembered that his lawyer advised him that "I don't recall" were some magic words he could use when he was being questioned.
