TK Maxx was a good place to get Taschen stuff before Christmas. Not sure if that was seasonal or if it extends to TJ Maxx in the US though.

Taschen books are extraordinarily good value but so bulky I am running out of space.

Not sure if they still get the occasional shipment, but Half Price Books used to have a selection of Taschen stuff

four months pass...

Some cool Taschen stuff going cheap on Amazon UK atm.

Bourgery's Atlas Of Anatomy and Racinet's book on costume for £14 each, Seba's Cabinet Of Natural Curiosities for £11.20, London: Portrait Of A City for £18.

This is my favourite Taschen of all time, not cheap but going for £30 off list price on Amazon at the moment:

two years pass...

Their edition of Hiroshige's One Hundred Famous Views of Edo is so beautiful. I feel like I have to wash my hands before opening it.

Yeah, I love mine. Don't look at it too much because I don't want to eventually wear out the silk that holds the small pins. Such a gorgeous book.

Those straps look a bit delicate, yeah. I'm going to keep the pins loose.

I love this picture (Foxfire on New Year's Night Under the Enoki Tree Near Oji):

Another I just bought is East of the Sun and West of the Moon, also a fantastically produced book. It's great having Nielsen's pictures so big.
