I don't doubt that this fuckwit "means it", but I doubt he's thinking through what he's saying, which is the BIG problem I have w/ most "emo" type things - it's said (or trying to be said) at The Moment when The Pain hits. Bully for Eamon / DC / Death Cab / Limp Bizkit / etc. for getting this shit off the chest, but fuck off for thinking I'd want to hear this sort of nonsense more than once. If I actually stood behind EVERYTHING I spouted off when I was really pissed off at anything, I'd sound like a raving lunatic. Things "of the moment" should undoubtedly stay "of the moment".

I love that even the 'normal' parts of the lyrics come off as kind of bizarre, i.e. "I even said you were my great one".

apparently Eamon has a doo wop song called "Ho Wop", and when he was on TRL he wore a sweatshirt that said HO WOP on the front. I hope he at least becomes successful enough to ship his own line of Ho-Wop-A-Wear to retail.

Double dud. And it's not enough for them to give us the original track, we have to get the Frankee version too. From MTV:

Eamon has rocketed up the charts with a song about his ex-girlfriend called "F--- It (I Don't Want You Back)," and now a woman who claims to be the subject of the track has retaliated with her own song: "FU Right Back."

The song adds new lyrics to the beats and melody of the Staten Island, New York, singer's hit, dissing the "ho-wop" crooner with lines like "You thought you could really make me moan/ I had better sex all alone" and "Now you want me to come back/ You must be smoking crack/ I'm going elsewhere, and that's a fact."

New York radio station Z100 received the track anonymously in the mail and began playing it on February 24. Almost immediately, the request lines started lighting up, and the station has been playing the cut almost as much as Eamon's original...(Editor’s note: Eamon later claimed that he had approved the Frankee track and that the beef between the two was staged, a claim that Frankee denies.)

I actually saw the video on MTV last night. The girls I was hanging out with were unimpressed, but I think everyone was too drunk to really listen to what Eamon was laying down. I still fell out of my chair when he pushed the pizza off the table.

oh yeah it's Milk from Audio Two, whom I haven't heard. He produced a lot of this and raps on two tracks. One of his raps recommends punching the girl's hating friends in the head and the other apologizes to Eamon for doing his girl in a bathroom, her "head in the bowl." I must admit Milk didn't charm me much.

I thought this was really neat the first four times I heard it. For some reason I had an image of a twelve year old black kid singing it. Finding out it's a goombah in his early thirties makes it terrible for some reason.

I really hope the next single is "On & On." The FIRST LINE of the song is "every time I finish I can see it in your eyes." And it's not even the smuggest song about his sexual skill and stamina. There's another song about how you're loving the sex cuz it's better than X and that's why you'll fuck with him for the rest of your life.

Though "On & On" has a better melody.

a valid point, but the irony of the smooth sounds and his blunt, nakedly assholish lyrics is where the entertainment is. Nickelback's track is just ugly on all levels. Eamon sounds like a dumb shit Velvet Jones rather than a belligerent sportsbar enthusiast. It's not like I'm laughing with Eamon, I just have to acknowledge that I like to laugh and this stuff does it.

i think i like this song - the one i've heard on the radio, elsewhere is uptempo like good color me badd (actually more uptempo than that), but the one i saw on mtv was all slow like bad color me badd, all fraught with drama. i can't stand the normal 'fuck you you bitch' one but radio edit saves the day, again.
