I mean, just go smooch on her at least. Give her one for me!

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Thursday, 17 February 2005 12:46 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

i've gone the other way from Lauren and Barima and lately enjoy dancing to/hearing out electro/techno more than I have for some time.

You just stay outta our way then, bitch.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Thursday, 17 February 2005 12:47 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Roxy, I would so kiss Caroline if I was going :-(.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Thursday, 17 February 2005 12:48 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

I'm still contemplating the Kittin. dunno. I fear a) tickets running out by the time I haul my disorganised ass over to Plastic People, and b) ruin tomorrow.

For those wanting to POP, I reiterate: Girls Aloud at GAY on Saturday!

Bah to the Feb 26 goodness, it is a friend's birthday then.

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 17 February 2005 12:49 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Alex, be real, you know there's no way I'm going to see Girls Aloud.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Thursday, 17 February 2005 12:50 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

i'll miss the 26th stuff too as i will be in Svenska

Alienus Quam Reproba (blueski), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:02 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

But I thought we were going to Sweden that weekend!

alix (alix), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:04 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

for sure...

Alienus Quam Reproba (blueski), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:07 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

I was gonna comment on The Popstarz Debate but then I realised that I like and dislike club nights entirely on the basis of whether or not they let me in when I was underage, which is kinda useless to, y'know, adults.

I wish I could see Girls Aloud or Miss Kittin.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:10 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Truth is, I may have actually had more fun at Club Seal than Vitalic

Flattered and all, but you are a mentalist. The Output night on the 26th looks pretty fantastic. Is this a proper Black Strobe decksnfx thing?

Also, am I the only person who finds rebranding the Camden Palace as 'Koko' utterly hilarious?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:33 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

come and see Girls Aloud, Greg and Barima! there are no reasons for you not to.

It's looking less and less likely that I will be chez Kittin tonight :(

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:46 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Girls Aloud? Holy fuck I wish I were in London this week. :(

roxymuzak (roxymuzak), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:47 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Man, I'd love to see Girls Aloud on Saturday. But I've already said I'm going to see The Schla La Las who are, like, the indie Girls Alound or something.

Kate Kept Me Alive! (kate), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:48 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

I've been overdoing the social which is why although I am TEMPTED I shall be good and STAY IN until Club Pfffft.

(Probably)

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:52 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

i'm even a bit tempted by one of these oldskool rave nights sometimes

Alienus Quam Reproba (blueski), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:52 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Well to be fair the GA'll probably be a five-song PA or something. But Ria and I are treating it as an hors d'oeuvre for the MAIN TOUR in May!

I think I may have to skip Club FT this month. but when can I DJ at it?

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:53 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Lex are you going to the GA gig in Hammersmith in May? i can't wait!

Steve - Lukey of this parish swears by Raindance. I've not been tempted yet.

pete b. (pete b.), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:58 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

yeah but we've got tickets for May 29 whereas everyone else seems to have them for the 28th :(

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:59 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

I am also a bit tempted by an oldskool rave thing.

RickyT (RickyT), Thursday, 17 February 2005 13:59 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

If any of you fancy a trip to Dublin, Black Strobe March 16th, at our club, and Optimo sometime in April, I think.

I was half thinking of trying to organise some friends to organise a party next time I'm in London, cos I want to DJ now, everywhere and anywhere!

Ronan (Ronan), Thursday, 17 February 2005 14:01 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

I am also a bit tempted by an oldskool rave thing.

do such things exist?! I have been awaiting the early 90s rave revival for YEARS!

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 17 February 2005 14:14 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

they've existed for some time now. Camden Palace actually did one of the bigger ones for ages featuring Ratpack live etc. regularly.

think there was something at The Arches a few weeks back too, old skool vs new skool breaks sort of thing.

Butlins are doing some big 90s revival thing at their camps where the likes of Baby D play as well as a lot of rub pop stuff. madness...

i want to go to Dublin, and Black Strobe would be a good excuse, but it might be too soon i'll see...

Alienus Quam Reproba (blueski), Thursday, 17 February 2005 14:22 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Lex I have at least two great reasons for not seeing the G.A.! They are FINALS and POVERTY.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 17 February 2005 14:26 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

My friend has been to a couple of places selling themselves as "old school rave" but has reported back that they are really actually rub, so I'd be careful about which venue you choose. Alternatively just HAVE A FOOKIN' HOUSE PARTY with "Rave Nation 92".

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Thursday, 17 February 2005 14:43 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

dont forget back to yours at herbal with martin landsky on feb 26th

its a good night, the resident, margeret dygas is a wicked dj

ambrose (ambrose), Thursday, 17 February 2005 14:47 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

that 26/2 output thing looks fantastic; unfortunately we'll be in france then, though.

Flattered and all, but you are a mentalist. The Output night on the 26th looks pretty fantastic.

a. Kiss my arse. b. It's tempting, but I'm in poverty.

come and see Girls Aloud, Greg and Barima! there are no reasons for you not to.

Besides the fact that I like 3 out of almost 30 songs they've released, you mean.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Thursday, 17 February 2005 15:53 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Barima enjoyed Club Seal more because i wasn't there

Alienus Quam Reproba (blueski), Thursday, 17 February 2005 15:54 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

looks like half of London ILX is decamping to the continent next weekend

Alienus Quam Reproba (blueski), Thursday, 17 February 2005 15:54 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Dave, shall we have a house party with 'Rave Nation 92' ? And nothing else? Not even guests?

alix (alix), Thursday, 17 February 2005 16:00 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

who else is off to the continent?

toby (tsg20), Thursday, 17 February 2005 16:04 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Dave, yes we should. If only because our neighbours will not be happy. HA HA HA. Are you going to be home tonight in time for Dub Dob Deed?

Lucretia My Reflection (Lucretia My Reflection), Thursday, 17 February 2005 16:11 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Top 3 ILXors to team with on the dancefloor:

1. Stevem
2. The Lex
3. Cis

Proven by mentalism.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Thursday, 17 February 2005 16:40 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

I do hope to be home in time for Dirge Dob Dude. I will be eating my tasteless pasta also! Literally 7 minutes of fun!

alix (alix), Thursday, 17 February 2005 16:41 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

i am rubbish to team with, don't listen to B.

what the hell is a Dirge Dob Dude?

Alienus Quam Reproba (blueski), Thursday, 17 February 2005 18:19 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

i can't dance with anyone - i guess it's ok when you're surrounded by loads of other people tho (as is always the case at The End)

Alienus Quam Reproba (blueski), Thursday, 17 February 2005 18:20 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Barima you forgot Tim F in that there list.

Girls Aloud were amazing, we're all utterly in love with Cheryl now! it was even worth putting up with GAY for.

The Lex (The Lex), Sunday, 20 February 2005 21:17 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

but Alan did the test that proves she's as gay as the next man...

Sven Bastard (blueski), Sunday, 20 February 2005 21:29 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

So is anyone else up for Tiga-2ManyDJs-Black Strobe on Saturday then?

(I may not be after Club FT and Club Seal the previous two nights, but I'm going to try my absolute best to be...)

Matt DC (Matt DC), Monday, 21 February 2005 14:32 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

bah. the only big events i could find on in Stockholm this weekend are gigs by And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead and The Mars Volta. Tho there is a goth club called Ultrachrome...

"So is anyone else up for Tiga-2ManyDJs-Black Strobe on Saturday then?"

I totally am. TOTALLY! And Matt, I find it hard to believe you couldn't handle three nights of dancemania in a row. Don't start sewing the seeds of possible cancellation, yo!

marianna lcl (marianna lcl), Monday, 21 February 2005 21:30 (thirteen years ago) Permalink

Barima you forgot Tim F in that there list.

Nah, Steve-n's a red herring ;-).

Club Make Like A Circus Seal on Fri could be a go, but only if there are sexpots.

Haha, you know me too well ;) I suspect that making sure I behave myself on Thursday will be the key to this.

Tell me if you mind me spamming here again. This saturday we have Lerosa playing live, and an extended set from Leah Floyeurs – in the same warehouse unit we used last time.
