Maynard G. Krebs...the Dobie Gillis show (I was seriously obsessed with this show as a kid. I'd record the show on my Fisher-Price tape recorder, there was no other way to record a show at the time. Then I'd listen to it in bed, over and over until I fell asleep.)

You know, I'll make fun of hippie incense along with everyone else but I secretly like nag champa.

The stuff I'm buying is £1 for fifty sticks from my local pound shop. The great thing is, whatever it says on the packet you've got no idea what it's going to smell like so it's kind of a Proustian lottery

trying to generally be more positive about my life and concentrate on good things. it's ridiculous, i know, but i've never ever thought to think this way and almost always concentrated on the bad stuff as a sort of coping(?) developing(?) process.

Stevie I highly recommend Tulum as your next Mexico trip, easily do-able from the east coast for three nights or so, you may really dig it and decide to abandon the U.S. ship to live/work there for a while. Unless you really prefer cities (like me); in that case do not live in Tulum. Or anywhere on the Baja peninsula :)

ripping an absurd amount of music to put on a walkman I got at the start of the week, to ensure I got a clip I'd lost on a previous one. Just hope it works ok. But it does seem to be consuming most of my energy.

Having a tv that I can watch things on through attaching a memory stick to a USB connection. Probably been something taht people have been doing for years but new to me. Am aware that it is a function on laptops etc, but has it been on tvs for long/
Having a tv I can see properly and can actually read writing on.

The growing feeling taht I need to get back to springcleaning my room as I tried before Xmas and didn't get through. MAybe getting too into procrastination too.

Sewing, taking a course once a week that i need to do some homework I brought home to catch up with the rest of the more experienced people in the class and not been doing because I've been ripping hundreds of cds all week.

David Byrne's How Music Works when I get around to reading it, yet again not getting this done cos of the above.

In a similar vein to the above, right now I'm into Apple TV (lol iPhone's autocorrect capitalisation) and the fact I can stream any .mp4 files that I can lay my hands on direct to my tv. Last night was mike leigh's 'naked'. Great Xmas gift

Sewing stuffed toys for the class project. May have overstuffed though. May need to change stuffing too, used an old duvet as had been suggested at one point in class. I'd washed it recently since it had been lying around with holes in for ages.

Thinking of signing up for a dressmaking course at same place. Could pick up a lot more techniques as long as I can make something other than dresses.

The Book of Mormon. Saw it in camera version on Friday but camera version of theatre performance not as good as film. Harder to get angle right I guess, looking down in curved theatre rather than up in straight one.
But hilarious show. Now to see it live live.

Working out what to do with the flat. Got new furniture in shape of table & chairs so need to work out how to make things fit better. Managed to really hem myself in while ripping music for new walkman. Also need to work out how best to house cds that have been ripped. Need another dimension for storage. Or better shelving system.
