I love whiney's comment about black people appropriating anime via white people backtracking, conclusively proven by instances of black artists using anime-like imagery

if i have to spell it out, there's

A) black artists influenced by anime (kanye, chris breezy, waka's "bitch call me goku", my diamonds they say pikachu, they say pikachu) because it's a popular cultural artifact like anything else

B) And then there's a specific form of predominatelty white post-Altered Zones Tumblr electronic musician (ie, OPN, Elite Gs, Laurel Halo et al), who use anime imagery for trangression/internet points/#feels that predated like Flatbush Zombies or w/e.
