ahah, yeah, as many have said, he did less than pierre menez (the journalist who was in a clash with patrice evra) !
but doing in during a game is quite fun anyway.

Amazing win for Evian vs PSG tonight.

Ramnaresh Samhain (ShariVari), Wednesday, 4 December 2013 21:46 (ten years ago) link

fuck - paris only one point ahead now

licorice oratorio (baaderonixx), Wednesday, 4 December 2013 21:56 (ten years ago) link

damn it evian ! that's the second time they beat us ! it was a nice game though. they played it well and were so happy at the end. it was like they won the world cup or something !
anyway, after 36 games, defeat had to come at some point... I prefer Paris to lose to Evian than to Lille, Lyon, OM, etc.
I still can't understand of Menez and Pastore didn't manage to score though.

AlXTC from Paris, Thursday, 5 December 2013 13:18 (ten years ago) link

can't understand how

AlXTC from Paris, Thursday, 5 December 2013 13:18 (ten years ago) link

gotta love dupraz in an interview after the game saying he's annoyed cause he wished his players would play like that all the time.

Jibe, Thursday, 5 December 2013 13:28 (ten years ago) link

eheh, yeah, that was pretty cool.
the pitch seemed quite hostile. un champs de patates !

Enyeama has been amazing this season for Lille. 14 clean sheets in 16 games!

pandemic, Sunday, 8 December 2013 12:52 (ten years ago) link

Paris back in the game after evian : 5-0 at home.
2 goals and 2 assists for Zlatan which put him at the top of the ligue for goals (13) and assists (6).

AlXTC from Paris, Sunday, 8 December 2013 13:26 (ten years ago) link

Enyeama Vs zlatan will be grand !

AlXTC from Paris, Sunday, 8 December 2013 13:27 (ten years ago) link

It's over for enyeama against bordeaux !
And Lille now 4 points behind Paris.

AlXTC from Paris, Sunday, 8 December 2013 16:33 (ten years ago) link

Good this, so far. Short passing from psg poor so far but motta just cracked in an absolute pearler.

#YOLTMB (darraghmac), Saturday, 14 December 2013 16:22 (ten years ago) link

Ha! Mavuba just got lucky to avoid a red card for shoving Zlatan in the face, went up the other end and equalised.

Ramnaresh Samhain (ShariVari), Sunday, 22 December 2013 20:48 (ten years ago) link

Lille 2-1 up after a penalty.

Ramnaresh Samhain (ShariVari), Sunday, 22 December 2013 21:14 (ten years ago) link

Caught a bit of this earlier, Lille looked very good

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 22 December 2013 21:27 (ten years ago) link

It's crazy. All PSG but Lille were holding them off until a second ago. Own goal from a corner.

Ramnaresh Samhain (ShariVari), Sunday, 22 December 2013 21:32 (ten years ago) link

I've got the telly back for the last ten minutes, looks end-to-end

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 22 December 2013 21:41 (ten years ago) link

ooh, has to score that

Ismael Klata, Sunday, 22 December 2013 21:49 (ten years ago) link

PSG 19 44
Monaco 19 41
Lille 19 40
Bordeaux 19 31
St Etienne 18 30

How it stands at winter break. I've only seen 7 or 8 full games and an hour highlights package each week. But what the heck this is an eleven of players who have impressed me so far

--------------------------- ENYEAMA (Lille) ----------------------

-- BERIA (Lille)-DJILOBODJI(Nantes)-SALL(St Etienne)--BEDIMO(Lyon)

-----------------------VERRATTI(PSG)---DIDOT (Toulouse)-----------

-JOUFFRE(Lorient)------------RODRIGUEZ(Monaco)-------PAYET(Marseille)

-----------------------------LACAZETTE(Lyon)-----------------------

Unlucky to miss out- Sane,Aurier, Mountinho,Souare, Rivieri, and a couple of fellas who play up top for PSG.

four weeks pass...

falcao injured and out for the rest of the season, might not even be able to take part in the world cup. sucks

Jibe, Thursday, 23 January 2014 16:55 (ten years ago) link

Yeah what a bummer. Was keen to see how Monaco would do in the season' s crunch time

licorice oratorio (baaderonixx), Thursday, 23 January 2014 17:27 (ten years ago) link

let's be honest the title this year was always going to be psg's but with falcao there was a glimmer of hope that someone could go toe-to-toe with them. tbh i'm really more bummed about him potentially missing the world cup.

Jibe, Thursday, 23 January 2014 17:58 (ten years ago) link

sounds like a dangerous tackle by some worthless lower league hack trying to get a reputation

Pedro Mba Obiang Avomo est un joueur de football hispano-ganéen (nakhchivan), Thursday, 23 January 2014 18:01 (ten years ago) link

some Colombian drug lord might have him assasinated, a la Escobar

Ludo, Thursday, 23 January 2014 20:05 (ten years ago) link

Zlatan with a very zlatan goal in the cup semifinal at Nantes.

pandemic, Tuesday, 4 February 2014 20:07 (ten years ago) link

so the big game ended up pretty even - fair results for both teams

licorice oratorio (baaderonixx), Monday, 10 February 2014 13:45 (ten years ago) link

yeah. although, like for the first game, Paris was above. in a way, I'm glad Paris didn't win because with 8 points over Monaco, the league would have been over.
with 5, there's still some tension !

AlXTC from Paris, Monday, 10 February 2014 13:51 (ten years ago) link

and Zlatan's final chance was crazy, how he controlled the ball. Monaco's GK was very good.

AlXTC from Paris, Monday, 10 February 2014 13:51 (ten years ago) link

Been v impressed with Toulouse's Martin Braithwaite this season.

pandemic, Friday, 21 February 2014 15:49 (ten years ago) link

very nice goal from lyon to tie it 1-1 in the derby against st étienne.

Jibe, Sunday, 30 March 2014 19:45 (ten years ago) link

wow, bielsa at marseille

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Thursday, 10 April 2014 20:27 (ten years ago) link

i guess he just enjoys coaching teams playing in leagues dominated by two teams
but yeah the rumors were around for the past week but most marseille fans seemed to aboid talking about it so as not to jinx it. bielsa in ligue 1! this is awesome, can't wait to see what he does with marseille. curious to see which palyers will stay and go this summer considering what a great coach they'll be playing for.

Jibe, Thursday, 10 April 2014 22:12 (ten years ago) link

surprised to see gignac continued and even improved his goalscoring from last year

still looks ridiculously out of shape and might struggle if he is asked to press relentlessly by bielsa

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/62/OM_-_FC_Porto_-_Valais_Cup_2013_-_Andr%C3%A9-Pierre_Gignac.jpg

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Thursday, 10 April 2014 22:16 (ten years ago) link

if you asked marseille fans, most would probably tell you that he's had a shitty season. it's kind of surprising that he's actually scoring, though still far from the season that brought him to marseille from toulouse (24 goals iirc) yeah he always looks out of shape, bordeaux fans made fun of him at a game some time back by singing "un big mac pour gignac" ("a big mac for gignac"). actually, i think i might have already told that story here.

Jibe, Thursday, 10 April 2014 22:20 (ten years ago) link

im a fan of any player who manages to sustain a high level career despite being borderline obese, however he achieves it

what of the younger players at monaco like ocampos? also read that james is getting back into form after starting slowly

and the whole cavani issue, he doesnt seem happy

Little Saint Hugh of Lincoln (nakhchivan), Thursday, 10 April 2014 22:26 (ten years ago) link

dunno too much how it's going for ocampos. james has been doing quite well lately, scored a few goals and had a few assists.
cavani may not seem happy and considering the noise that's been made after his poor performance against chelsea, in his position of choice, he's not likely to feel any better

Jibe, Friday, 11 April 2014 20:45 (ten years ago) link

btw nakh when you posted about bielsa i thought it was a done deal. but it's not confirmed, even though it made front page of l'équipe today so this could still go the way of other classic marseille done deals like jardel coming

Jibe, Friday, 11 April 2014 20:53 (ten years ago) link

Really good win for Lyon. PSG mostly threatened from set pieces - look a shadow of their best when Zlatan's out. Ferri was excellent for Lyon.

Yuri Bashment (ShariVari), Sunday, 13 April 2014 20:56 (ten years ago) link

coming back to gignac, burger king got in on the fun and is mocking him too. see their twitter account, announcing the opening of a new BK in marseille :
https://twitter.com/BurgerKingFR/status/456688901378162688
their message says: we've never been good with rhymes, our thing is burgers.

Jibe, Thursday, 17 April 2014 08:21 (ten years ago) link

Berbatov just out-Berbatoved himself with the most nonchalant lob I've seen in ages.

Five red cards in Marseille vs PSG, including Neymar who left the field claiming he’d been racially abused.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 13 September 2020 21:01 (three years ago) link

eleven months pass...

Nice vs Marseille has descended into chaos. Fans throw bottles at Payet, Payet throws one back, dozens of Nice supporters pile on to the pitch to chase after him and brawl with Marseille players.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 22 August 2021 20:24 (two years ago) link

This is the second match in two weeks suspended because home fans couldn’t stop chucking stuff at visiting Marseille players and it’s crazy that the ref didn’t stop this one sooner.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 22 August 2021 20:34 (two years ago) link

Marseille players didn’t want to resume the game. Nice players were waiting on the pitch with the referees, Marseille never came back out and will lose the game 3-0.
