I have one of Matt Steinke's HOME MADE PHOTO THEREMINS.

IT RULES.

i saw them live several times in the mid-90s, mostly playing with kerosene 454, bluetip, les savy fav, jawbox and the dismemberment plan, if i remember correctly.

my fave of the early(ish) neo-wave bands: six finger satellite!

i still listen to the first Kerosene 454 album from time to time. way more than i listen to my jawbox CDs.

bluetip sux0r.

yeah, even tho my feelings were mixed about octant, you have to admire the man's electronics wizardry. making a robot band? i mean, that's cool. etc etc.

well, it's cool to me at least.

an ex-bandmate LOVED bluetip... of course, he nonsexual-crushed on j. robbins... "he's sooo great!!!"

anything remotely connected was like sexual chocolate!

and hey...slowdime released all scars, who did some cool slurp.

Most of those are part of my "1992" thread category project.

dude the FM Knives broke up? fuuuuck. They are one of the bands I want(ed) to see live. How verifiable is this? They are(were) super awesome. I see them as being, if such a thing is possible, an entirely modern update of the Buzzcocks/Boys/Undertones sort of sound, versus a band like the Exploding Hearts, for example, who I also really like but who are (were) frankly more throwback/retro in their stylistic execution.

the A Frames' 'Neutron Bomb' 7" is awesome, have been kinda on the fence about the other stuff I've heard from them.

no organisms left to grow
black forest and fallout snow
