Wow, I knew both songs well but never pieced it together until I saw this. I also didn't know the name of "Suavecito." I just knew it as that song on oldies radio that features Santana's brother.

And to Johnny Fever, I have a copy of We Be Who We Be - I don't know why DreamWorks never put this out, the album is a very commercial and has very obvious singles, even though it's slightly embarrassing and very mediocre. My copy doesn't have "Brother Sister Thing," sadly.

Dude in the band is an exec at EMI Publishing Canada or something.

I heard the main sample play in the background of a scene about 20 minutes into The Last Days Of Disco. Hearing the sample in its original context somehow makes this song seem even more miraculous.
