hunting is kind of fun but not exactly worth it, i don't think?

i am impressed by the sense of appropriate differences in scale for what things cost -- seeing the high price tags on those first few available properties seems pretty daunting, but then gives you a sense of what kind of money you could be making

i think this is one of those games (like dark souls) where i'm happy to read this thread and watch the occasional youtube video instead of actually playing it.

Yes. There's an achievement for doubling your investment but so far I've only made marginal gains.

Definitely recommend not investing in LifeInvader after the CEO's speech! That shit bottoms out hard.

one annoyance: being risk averse and not greedy, i picked the best hired crew people. after the heist i get told that crew members get better, but their cut doesn't increase. shit.

totally. the good news is that at the time that i invested in it, i only had about $10K total, and invested half of it in lifeinvader. shortly thereafter if i finished the first heist and had much, much more $. so no big deal.

later on there's a mission that has a very tangible effect on the stock market, and they let you know that before you finish so you can invest.

xp wellll...i would say from experience, also not wanting to be too spoilery, but it doesn't always quite work out the way you are figuring.

well i don't doubt that the cheaper hires perform materially worse but eh, maybe that would have been more fun anyway!

Yeah Red Dead multiplayer is the only reason I'm excited about GTA online.

The Tinkle stock the airport guy mentions is only on the bawsaq, which only works when you're signed in to the social club

No internet on my Xbox means I'm getting shafted with the stock market atm because both of the assassination missions I've done as Franklin for Lester (where he tells you what to invest in to make big money immediately after the hit) are related to stocks on the Bawsaq market.

that first mission with michael/trevor/franklin together made me like this game again. super awesome especially for a series that is not exactly known for good mission design
