I think Tebow probably 'had' the skills at one point to become an H-back/TE type player, Belichick tried to talk him into changing positions for the Pats a decade ago. I got to think the first time he gets really f'n hit, it will be surprise as he has not had that happen to him for over a decade.

Keep in mind Taysom Hill is 31, but he can throw a football a bit more than Tebow ever could. Would not doubt Tebow gets carried on the roster and probably out of doing special teams (for a backup TE). That said, if he can still run and is better at routes than throwing - slight chance of it working I suppose. Tebow was always really good at running short yardage type plays and still might be ok at doing some Wildcat like stuff he did at Florida.

It's wild that they gave him a full contract when he has basically zero experience as a blocking tight end or as a route runner. At best, he's a run-first FB who can help with gadget plays.
