To be entirely fair, the reapers were established as being in cars, so they could be passing through on their way from - or to - some other, spoooooookier part of town. The locals may not be that helpful.

I live by one of the main outlets for the BQE Morgan Ave off-ramp, and there are a bunch of trendy hip-hop clubs in the neighborhood.

Sometimes when I hear music from a car that I really like in my neighborhood, I ask someone walking by if they have any idea what it is. If they don't, I try to remember some lyrics and google them later.

I swear burt_stanton, I live in a worse neighborhood than you. Just find some unscary looking dudes (local pot sellers maybe???? or some teenager girls???) and ask them.

Ask who? It's just people driving around in cars, obviously not from the neighborhood. What does some Polish kid in a shiny disco shirt care about this crap?
