"It was also a boon that Kansas City hosted the All-Star Game in 2012, bringing Hall of Famers like Frank Robinson, Hank Aaron and Tony Gwynn to the museum to discuss the influence of the Negro leagues on the major leagues. Commissioner Bud Selig made his first visit to the museum that week."

that... is just fucked

also have been to the NLHOF and found it charming and worth the price of admission if you're in the area, but the gift store was a real bummer; I was prepared to spend $ on hats and stuff but there wasn't anything worth looking at, let alone buying

yeah they just had basic KC Monarch replica jerseys, caps, stuff with Robinson's or Buck O'Neil's name on it, etc.

btw the NL Museum is adamant on their website that they don't have a "hall of fame," which is both true (they only have those statues of the legends on the diamond) and an explicit way of playing nice with Cooperstown.

homestead is in western pennsylvania and knowing that the grays (partially) moved to washington is even more arcane than a general knowledge of the negro leagues of 70 years ago

i mean yes we should remember the negro leagues and i don't know the exact wording of whatever joe buck said, but the grays did not in fact win a major league world series so maybe the guy who has never otherwise mentioned the negro leagues in his 100K tweets should chill about the 'erasing'

*possibly* unlike Fox Sports, most of Adam Johnson's followers probably don't give a fiddler's toot about baseball
