They're not itchy, and not swollen, and they seem to be very slightly faded? Not sure yet. I'll find out when I get off this overnight bus.

Je55e, I'm familiar with denial prior to vomiting!

what if it's just mayo

no fomo (La Lechera), Monday, 26 August 2013 17:37 (ten years ago) link

It is kind of a light beige color, really sticky consistency, and smells kind of metallic-y. Its very strange. I am sure it's a BLESSED POTION by LOUISE LONGHAIRS. I also bought her wacky shampoo because I heard it's just incredible. I am not that impressed with the shampoo yet.

homosexual II, Monday, 26 August 2013 18:03 (ten years ago) link

like, I wouldnt be surprised at all if the shampoo is just johnson and johnson baby shampoo. It kinda smells the same, even.

homosexual II, Monday, 26 August 2013 18:06 (ten years ago) link

blood vessel things seem to be fading, so yay.

WHERE do LONG HAIRS

sorry, I'm just slowly working my way through this site and every couple seconds finding something special.

It is actually not alright to keep her "trade secrets" a secret if she is defining "trade secrets" as "ingredients."

Sorry "alright"

Lawyer... SUAVE... (carl agatha), Monday, 26 August 2013 20:32 (ten years ago) link

Yeh, I was wondering!

H2, what led to your using this lady's product?

potatoes-in-law (Je55e), Monday, 26 August 2013 20:41 (ten years ago) link

Now that we've roundly mocked the product and exposed this woman's illegal operation...

Lawyer... SUAVE... (carl agatha), Monday, 26 August 2013 20:43 (ten years ago) link

Well, it's working, apparently. Even if that means it's replaced H2's soul with a long-haired marketing demon.... Careful, y'all.

potatoes-in-law (Je55e), Monday, 26 August 2013 20:51 (ten years ago) link

lol of COURSE she has a moon cycle widget on her site.

I know, isn't it mental? I was reading a PCOS message board and some of the PCOS-ers were talking about how awesome her shampoo is, and I just had to try it. I went for the skin cream kind of on a whim. GLAD I DID.

The most luxuriant wholistic mayo I've ever put on my face!

homosexual II, Monday, 26 August 2013 21:53 (ten years ago) link

Wait, she's a mean hair stylist, too? Amazing. What a weirdo!

Lawyer... SUAVE... (carl agatha), Monday, 26 August 2013 21:58 (ten years ago) link

FFM's regular stylist just moved out of town! Great timing!

ljubljana, Monday, 26 August 2013 23:29 (ten years ago) link

omg tempting

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Tuesday, 27 August 2013 19:24 (ten years ago) link

don't you want her to yell at you for dying your hair? sounds like a blast, right?

homosexual II, Tuesday, 27 August 2013 19:25 (ten years ago) link

I do need a haircut (was thinking of getting one TODAY) but there is no price list (would've gone to reg stylist before she moved but need to cheap out) and I have to fill out an "about you" form before I can book an appointment! Xp

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Tuesday, 27 August 2013 19:27 (ten years ago) link

Hahaha no kidding. My hairstylist used ~organic~ dye so maybe I'll just be gently chastised. Or she will list out how the dye was not actually organic and aren't I glad she's here to tell me the truth??

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Tuesday, 27 August 2013 19:28 (ten years ago) link

I have to fill out an "about you" form before I can book an appointment!

Lmao

een, Tuesday, 27 August 2013 20:11 (ten years ago) link

Mostly innocuous if self involved but:

"Do people try to pressure you into cutting your hair shorter for them or any other reasons? Tell Longhairs all about it... If this is preceeding a naturopathy-only session, list about what average doctor want to try to put you on. instead. : *"

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Tuesday, 27 August 2013 20:15 (ten years ago) link

...what?

Lawyer... SUAVE... (carl agatha), Tuesday, 27 August 2013 20:18 (ten years ago) link

I'm ready to pay pal you some money for a haircut from this woman, especially if we can fill out the about me form together as a group.

Lawyer... SUAVE... (carl agatha), Tuesday, 27 August 2013 20:19 (ten years ago) link

That's . . . that's totally incomprehensible?

doctor/want s/v disagreement is causing probs here

no fomo (La Lechera), Tuesday, 27 August 2013 20:42 (ten years ago) link

I like to think of my hair as long but I think I would get laughed out of there, also unsure where she wants me to indicate my hair's state vis-a-vis "yes/no"

"Do you presently have long hair (you get comments that tell you your hair's longer than most in society)? What do you think the state or length of your hair and skin is?: *
Yes
No
No, just coming for better hair and scalp"

she started dancing to that (Finefinemusic), Tuesday, 27 August 2013 20:57 (ten years ago) link

what is the length of yr skin

set the controls for the heart of the sun (VegemiteGrrl), Tuesday, 27 August 2013 21:00 (ten years ago) link

Just tried to Google and was displeased to find out that there is no website where I can input my height and weight and find out the approximate surface area of my skin. Once I learn how to program, I know what website I'm starting!

quincie, Wednesday, 28 August 2013 00:27 (ten years ago) link

Too bad Tabitha's Salon Takeover is off the air because her visiting Long Hairz would be an amazing display of crazy.

carl agatha, Wednesday, 28 August 2013 01:19 (ten years ago) link

You guys are too funny. I'm not sure I could keep a straight face! She feels like the type who'll insist I buy a lot of potions for my frazzled hair.

Ohh man yes rip TST

good news -- the regimen is working! my skin has completely cleared up and i don't think it has looked this good in years. yay.
bad news - not really that bad of news, but the peeling has begun. there's a spot on each side under my bottom lip that requires constant supervision/lotioning

whole face still stings from time to time, but i think it's bc of heat/sweat/sun? overall, i feel better about my face skin than i did 2 months ago. i'll take it.

no fomo (La Lechera), Tuesday, 3 September 2013 20:54 (ten years ago) link

dud: shiseido sunscreen: it goes on nicely bc its a thin runny lotion, doesn't seem to leave too white of a cast but... Jesus christ by the end of every day its in my goddamn eyes and its so painful! Its supposedly ophthalmologist approved, too! I mostly bought it for jordan, bc I'm trying to get him in the habit of wearing sunscreen every day, but its fucking up his already allergy-irritated eyes too (he head/face sweats way more than me).

just1n3, Monday, 16 September 2013 07:03 (ten years ago) link

bad news -- whole face peeling in a way that is unsightly if not slightly alarming if left alone for more than 1 waking hr.

tips for gentle exfoliation of sensitive skin that seems to be molting?
