ive been waiting for a win from farrar like forever. a guy i knew who raced with farrar coming up always said he was the best he ever saw. for whatever thats worth.

A double whammy from Eurosports: Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico. Contador was amazingly destroyed today on the final climb - dropped from the break and then caught and dropped by the bunch.

Cavendish has won the Milan-San Remo!

That was so exciting. I didn't think he'd have a chance. I started watching it live on Eurosport as they approached the Cipressa and was surprised to find he was still there. Then it all got a bit split up and he was still in the front bunch of about 60 with Hincapie for company. Then it stayed together on the Poggio despite a couple of little digs and he was nicely placed in about 10th spot as they came into the town. Haussler shot off the front in the sprint and looked to have it sewn up but Cavendish put in a phenomenal burst and took him right on the line (both well clear of the pack). I was jumping up and down shouting 'yes!', while the idiot Eurosport commentators were calling it for Haussler (even though Cavendish was celebrating and Haussler was lying abject on the ground).

on video you could see the precise moment quinziato dialed it back to avoid blowing up. that picture looks pretty much like that moment--he pulled over to the right as he dropped off.

Ghent Wevelgem - Edvald Boasson-Hagen (who took the Tour of Britain by storm last summer) has just won it in a two-man break.

Which station carries the Tour De France in the states and do they stream it? Should be good watching it at work in the mornings.

i think the channel i watched it on was Versus?? pretty sure. it was at a bar, tho. no idea if it's streamed

This is good news although it looks like I will be in Europe for Le Grand Depart and be able to watch 3 stages in person. (Cap d'Agde-Perpignan, Girona-Barcelona and the first mountain stage). (Real number of stages may vary due to testing the patience of E w.r.t. chasing cyclists about the french and spanish countryside).
