A TEENAGE boy remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital after a ‘BBQ exploded’ in Sidcup on Saturday evening.

Emergency services were called to Penhill Road at about 6.30pm to reports of four people burnt at a BBQ being held in a back garden.

A 17-year-old boy suffered severe burns and was rushed by land ambulance to King’s College Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.

Three others, who suffered less severe burns, were taken by ambulance to a specialist burns unit at Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford. The air ambulance landed nearby but was not needed.

Anne Kenton, 71, and Sidney Gillett, 81, were in their front room when they heard screams coming from next door.

Grandmother-of-four Ms Kenton said: “We thought it was just the children playing. I understand it was someone who threw petrol on the barbecue.

nb that is not local to here but its a classic ~local news~ freakshow

Amory Jesus busted! I saw him walking everywhere around town for the last ten years so I assumed he didn't have a vehicle, but apparently he does own a jet ski. Also, now I know his name.

Don't really know where to put this, not sure here is the right place really. We passed this weird house going from Brighton to Camber ATP with graffiti saying stuff like "MURDER HOUSE" and "POLICE COVER-UP", forgot about it until a conversation tonight... been following the internet trails about it, lots of EVERYTHING IN CAPITALS conspiracy pages, though it does seem like it may be grounded in fact...

SEATTLE —

A half-naked man who police said stole a boat and went on a rampage in a Seattle marina told police he was just trying to get away from a ninja.

Michael Bray's run from the so-called "Asian female ninja" began Sept. 15 when he boarded a 42-foot boat in the Queen City Yacht Club in the middle of the night, throttled the engine, and started repeatedly ramming neighboring boats and docks.

Dozens of people on board surrounding boats frantically screamed at him to stop, and called police.

But according to court documents, Bray didn't stop until a man on the shore fired a birdshot gun at the cabin of the boat he was driving. Police showed up shortly after to find Bray straddling the stern of the boat without pants.

Bray told them he was a CIA agent running from a female ninja. He also allegedly told one of two officers, "One of you are dead."

Anne Arundel County police arrested a 21-year-old man after finding a bag of marijuana brownies in his car Tuesday night in Glen Burnie.
Anthony Michael Demali, of Quarterfield Road in Severn, was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and multiple counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to online court records.
An officer responded to the area of Edgerly Road and Fitzallen Road at 9 p.m. for reports of a suspicious vehicle in the area. The officer spotted a 2010 Ford Fusion with its lights off.
As the officer began to turn around, the driver of the Ford turned its lights on and began to drive away. The officer stopped the car after he said the driver drove through a stop sign.
When the officer spoke with Demali, he admitted to having a marijuana pipe in the car. The officer searched the car and found 24 grams of suspected marijuana and a bag of suspected marijuana brownies and $251 in cash, police said.
Demali was subsequently arrested.

BATESVILLE, AR -- A woman was airlifted to a Little Rock hospital with serious injuries after investigators say a man went on a bit of a crime spree in Independence County.

According to the Independence County Sheriff's Office (ICSO), deputies responded to a vehicle accident Sunday night where the driver and a passenger had already fled the scene.

Witnesses told deputies that after the accident, the driver forced a minor to drive him away from the scene on an ATV, while the passenger ran away on foot, ICSO says.

Investigation later revealed that the man involved in the first accident then went to a nearby house saying he'd been in an accident. A woman answered the door and said she couldn't help, but the man forced his way in, assaulted her, tore her clothes off, then forced her into her SUV with him.

ICSO says while the man was driving, the victim grabbed the steering wheel and turned it into an oncoming car, causing another accident. Witnesses later told detectives that the woman then jumped out of the SUV naked and bloody, saying she'd been abducted and needed to get home to her baby.

Good Samaritans offered to take the woman to the police department, but she implored them to take her back home, fearing the suspect would return and harm her baby.

The woman was later airlifted to a Little Rock hospital with serious injuries, according to ICSO.

After finding the woman's SUV in a ditch, multiple agencies assisting in the search were able to narrow down the suspect's location, and as an Arkansas State Police helicopter hovered over the man's suspected location, he came out and surrendered, according to ICSO.

The Sheriff says the suspect remains in custody, and could face charges of kidnapping, aggravated assault and attempted rape.
