don't know this guy but
"Whether we're pushing our shopping cart through a retail store or sitting at an office desk laboring for a salary, somebody up there wants us to work harder, spend more money, and be a more productive cylinder in the engine of commerce. Might there be a simple way to get people to be more energetic, more creative, more generous; simply by manipulating their environment through something as simple as music? It has certainly been tried, and sold to the world's largest businesses. Commonly called by the name of its most recognizable vendor, muzak has long been the subject of scrutiny, science, and pseudoscience. Today we're going to see what it can do and what it can't."

everyone should listen to madlib all the time though so it's not really vape-specific advice

18 Carat Affair is one of my favorites. I guess the Pure Gold album is like a best-of comp.

So I'm not sure if I even know what vaporwave is, but I feel like the new Mu-ziq album might be vaporwave-y?

I mean not that it matters

Dan I., Wednesday, 31 July 2013 04:26 (ten years ago) link

two weeks pass...

Not Vaporwave but Vaporware - really enjoying this ambient loop type stuff on Donato Dozzy Plays Bee Mask which as the name suggests, is basically a remix album of Bee Mask made by Donato Dozzy.

yep i agree. on their FB page they recently thanked Tiny Mix Tapes for being a runner up for best releases so far this year
not a bad list that features some other stuff that'll be relevant for this thread...

Magic Eye - Babylon (found this quite fun but seemed to finish with little impact) https://play.spotify.com/album/6JZGt8RRvlA5pGkqTeWTSz
D/P/I - 08.DD.15 (this I found a bit trickier to get into, but lots of really great little moments) https://play.spotify.com/album/5u6BSPG49gTPJwL9BRUtqx
