Granny just wants to see jimmy chitwood chuck it from the nosebleeds for his enjoyment.

a very generous Cordoban (Sufjan Grafton), Sunday, 2 June 2013 06:27 (ten years ago) link

Clyde Drexler was better than Dwyane Wade is, and Otis Thorpe contributed equally as Scottie Pippen (at a completely different position and role, for a couple of years, based upon my own memory of my own at-the-time advanced stats analysis, as the best all-around useful guy)

Otis was dumped for Clyde on the Rockets. The prior Rockets - Knicks finale was the greatest series in NBA history.

I'm only posting this (trolling) because I am old and drunk and have spent an hour reading these arguments.

I'm also annoyed that Lebron could pass Olajuwon in playoff scoring this year, based upon whatever graphic Steve Kerr was talking about.

Spurs - Pacers would be cool for me.

also, because this post will shame me and make me embarrassed to ever post again, I've always liked Battier and Anderson, and been annoyed by Ray Allen and Lebron James.

I don't think I got to see the Pacers play on national TV all year. I sure did get to see the Clippers, Warriors, and Knicks on a weekly basis.

also, if we were in a bar and I was listening to strangers talk about basketball, after a while I would interrupt and dispute you, and you would say "Shut up, who are you, and what the hell are you talking about."

I accept this criticism.

shaq was physically overpowering but also super skilled, perfect footwork amazing touch, thats what made him so devastating

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 June 2013 11:15 (ten years ago) link

bron is similar, its easy to miss how difficult a lot of his finishes are after he bowls his way to the rim because he makes them look so effortless

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 June 2013 11:17 (ten years ago) link

woo woow spurs pacers

乒乓, Sunday, 2 June 2013 11:44 (ten years ago) link

i dont think the nba out and out fixes games but maybe they put the pressure on the refs to be more favorable, and if the team they want to win cant win even w favorable calls then welp

乒乓, Sunday, 2 June 2013 11:45 (ten years ago) link

after all the nba is the only major professional sports league in what, the last 50...60...70 years? where a corrupt official was outed

乒乓, Sunday, 2 June 2013 11:45 (ten years ago) link

it also explains why joey crawford still has a job, i.e. he knows where sterns bodies are buried

乒乓, Sunday, 2 June 2013 11:46 (ten years ago) link

joey crawford has a job because the refs have a union

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 June 2013 13:32 (ten years ago) link

yeah he was so nimble and athletic, especially in his early years. it's just a weird thing to complain about. like when you're calling the most complete player in the history of the game "boring"

k3vin k., Sunday, 2 June 2013 13:38 (ten years ago) link

i kinda agree that brons game is often unbeautiful compared to many all timers, but if you think theres nothing to appreciate and enjoy there youre trippin

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 June 2013 13:42 (ten years ago) link

and his passing and fast break game is beautiful and fun

as kerrs been hammering on during the games indys ability force miami to go big is killing their offense, its really the small ball lineups that are transcendent, w two bigs theyre ordinary

if miami loses tomorrow and wade has an off season next year and they dont win maybe bron will go back to cleveland :)

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 June 2013 13:52 (ten years ago) link

last night after the game shaq was all 'roy hibbert best big man in the game' and charles looking mad exasperated 'look hibbert is a good player but hes not THAT good'

chuck otm, miamis just go no one who can bother him at all, he looks like hes running drills out there, even when they bring the double team hes just calmly making the right play which is a credit to him, the pacers altogether look so much more comfortable on offense than the first game where it seemed like a miracle when they were scoring good after almost turning the ball over every play

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 June 2013 13:58 (ten years ago) link

seems lik theyve kinda figured miamis D out, swing the ball and youll eventually get what you want, and their size is really helping to neutralize miamis lane shooting ways

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 June 2013 14:01 (ten years ago) link

also chuck was all lets see more than one series of this before we anoint paul george a superstar which is also otm tho obvs hes been ridic, and w bron on him

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 June 2013 14:02 (ten years ago) link

ya paul george has been on one for the entire series

乒乓, Sunday, 2 June 2013 14:04 (ten years ago) link

i have another meme idea if miami loses 'are the heat built for the regular season?'

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 June 2013 14:13 (ten years ago) link

Paul George's playoff success really hurting the argument that he's the next T-Mac

"I am able to replay a lot of plays in my head," James said, and soon he started to list – one by one – the circumstance of every, easy Wade miss on Saturday night. No video clips needed, James remembered them all.

"We can state the obvious: They're both struggling," James said.

bron having nam flashbacks of boobie gibson bricking threes and antawn jamison getting murked
then he goes against the spurs and starts putting on his cavs jersey, wade glances at him "bron, you ok?" but he cannot be roused from his manic state

"looks like im going to have to do this myself", he barges in on birdman and takes the opening tip himself. he collects the ball and heaves a halfcourt three which he drains. he's now frothing at the mouth.

LeBron gets Jordan/Kobe/Magic comparisons all the time but his best player comp is pre-injury Pistons-era Grant Hill if he'd stayed healthy.

feelin this

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 June 2013 16:50 (ten years ago) link

Hey yall heard Ps are one game away from the finals :O

Miami will be much tougher at home + Birdman playing more minutes + Wade can still have an efficient game even if hobbled + nobody would be surprised if Bron goes for 48/18/12/4blk/3stl/0to/0fl.

Plus whatever tumult Heat are going through now isn't as bad as after the 2-1 Pacers lead last year, and Heat whipped them three straight after that.

IM ME, I DO ME, AND I CHILL (CompuPost), Sunday, 2 June 2013 16:52 (ten years ago) link

if the pacers win i hope everyone doesnt immediately forget what an amazing upset it is

lag∞n, Sunday, 2 June 2013 16:54 (ten years ago) link

Ethan Strauss ‏@SherwoodStrauss 2h
Have no clue what'll happen with Miami. But I'd guess that coaches will favor rest over win streaks going forward.

ya, tho personally as a fan i appreciate the heat going for the glory
