Watching England = like reading a pulpy Stephen King / Goosebumps tale with the kernel of a fantastic and effective idea for a horror story at its heart; somewhere between a vague yet still completely recognisable sensation of insidious, grasping existential horror that this is actually happening in the world and, idk, the Cuckoo Clock of Doom / Groundhog Day device. And the story's being written by a buffoon who can't do dialogue and keeps using the same plot over and over again. And there's not been a twist for about 10 fucking years.
