pineapple on pizza

I love pineapple, but I hate any sort of hot or cooked fruit, so no pineapple on pizza for me.

pineapple on pizza is nasty.

and anchovies are the best topping, obviously.

one day I will recreate the amazing taco pizza they had at the pizza place where I worked in high school that remains to this day the only taco pizza variant I've liked

US pizza vs Australian pizza offerings are two completely different things. Australia is all specialty pizzas and US just goes by number of toppings and is obsessed with how many different cheeses are on there and how many different places they can find to stuff that cheese into. Its so weird.

I can see how people would not enjoy pineapple on a pizza. The sweet with the savory just doesn't work sometimes. For me Maple syrup on bacon and eggs is something I will never understand.

why not just top it off with gummi bears you visigoths

i wouldn't say that durian smells like either rotting meat or feet. it definitely has a pungent smell. i think maybe some people are genetically predisposed against the smell of durian, kinda like cilantro. i dunno though.

i've been told that there are a few dozen varieties of durian, and only some of them smell really bad.

the ones you get in the states have been frozen and shipped overseas, so they're not fresh, i'm also not sure which varietal is used.

Everything about that description gives me a gross-out attack. Also are you sure that jpg is of a fruit because I think it might be a pangolin.

what are other fruits with texture like avocado? I feel like there must be a bunch out there. like mango doesn't do it b/c it's too stringy.

to me, the smell is like... a bit open sewer sulphurous, fading to a sweet rotting wood and a rich, spicy fruit smell like overripe bananas, white pepper-- i just walked over to the fridge for the third time to resmell that smell and i can't even get close to describing it. i think the sewage smell is the most unpleasant element of the scent. when you first crack into one, it's a bit overpowering.

if you're in north america, eating frozen durian, let it thaw very briefly and eat it still frozen.

i've had durian and i wouldn't have compared its texture to avocado, i thought it was much closer to other melons or mango especially

also it didnt smell that bad but i didnt experience cracking it open, just ate some chunks out of a container that was in my friend's fridge

I love sweet and salty. Mascarpone-cheese on pizza is awesome. I just don't get why you would put pineapple on it to get that taste. The texture is awful, it gets wet and sticky. It's not worth it.

Just as I don't pepperoni. Why not use real italian sausage instead of industrial garbage?
