idgi, why is lionel hollins the hottest name on the coaching market? he's coaching a successful team! does he want out or something

well there are def philosophical differences there

like hollins was def on the woj side of the rudy gay trade

i think hollins got over it pretty quick tho.

i'm sure he's not hollinger's dream coach and he does things that are not statistically sound, but he's prob the guy most responsible for conley's development and he's taken a pretty odd roster and made it consistently successful.

ya during game 1 they showed his record w the grizz since h's been there and every year has been an improvement. he's an impressive coach imo.

haha for like 3 games after the trade gay was hitting game winners and balling out and the grizz kinda slumped. I bet Woz was knuckle polishing until reality set in soon after.

hard not to come away from that piece rooting for him.

Hollins' demeanor does not inspire confidence-- dude seems overmatched on the reg. Can't really argue that his Memphis team has improved a little bit each season, though; if nothing else, he might at least know how to build a strong staff idk.

xp how does he seem overmatched?

He reminds me of Ol' Gil whenever I hear him in the huddle. He just never sounds like he's in an authoritative position. Basically willing to give all Griz cred to whoever constructed their D schemes; if it's Hollins, then he should absolutely be a hot commodity.
