So, that Fashion Records comp. I'll admit I'm not the hugest Jungle head anyway, but throwing in random jungle remixes into a selection of early 80's Dancehall and trad Reggae is not the best way to enjoy those, right?

A lot of Soul Jazz stuff feels poorly sequenced to me, tho much the Brazilian and Venezuelan stuff flows very nicely...

bunch of their comps now ARE on spotify, apparently. Also helpful users have reassembled some of the others (e.g. the dynamite comps) as playlists.

one year passes...

The new Cuba compilation is predictably great - lots of salsa of course (though Cuba rejected the term) but also acid rock and stuff that sounds more MPB or at times even Morricone - there's a few tracks by the Cuban Film Institute house band that should appeal to library music fans. Very much in the same vein as their Venezuela comps.
