Brooklyn band The Dig have just released their new ep, "Tired Hearts."

that's a monumentally boring sentence, start to finish.

In high school I was in a jazz trio with two kids from jazz band -- we actually got a few gigs and made a little bit of money. The pianist insisted on us being called "Shades of Blue." I believe I said "can we please not be called 'Shades of Blue'?" Nonetheless, we were called "Shades of Blue."

fashionably early Christmas themed display name (snoball), Sunday, 8 December 2013 15:17 (ten years ago) link

you could pick a book, not sure what would be best maybe a mills and boon or something, or an airport potboiler, then pick some pages at random. Start in the middle of the page and just have everything between start point and an equally random end point as the bandname. If you wanted to be really boring that is.
Or some random catalogue & do the same. So boring taht nobody would actually remember what the band was actually called. but somebody might come up with an interesting nickname that you'd have to disown obviously.

or you could use the words in this post if you weren't interested enough to go and find a book.

is there a prize?

Stevolende, Sunday, 8 December 2013 15:24 (ten years ago) link

There is no prize. Because that would be interesting, which would be against the spirit of this thread.

There is no prize.

yeah think that might fit too, but not as well as the other thing would.

maybe 4 or 5 pages of binary would be cool too. But somebody might just shorten it.

I know the first post specifies non-existent bands, but every single thing about this is a masterclass in boring:

The Stocks are singer Luke Scott, aged 23, from Birchwood, drummer Tom Lowe, aged 23, from Cinnamon Brow, bass player Kev Nickson, aged 23, from Birchwood, bass and Matthew Johnson, aged 22, from Birchwood on guitar.

Even the band members' names are boring
