Right, but dude obviously wasn't ready to actually play! Like it totally amazes me how myopic sports fans are about injuries / prep time. Again, I've tuned out most of the Rose talk up until now since I heard way early that he was on the shelf; so, I haven't been hanging on his every participle about his mental and physical health. IMO it's pretty reasonable to believe that dude just overstated his preparedness, being optimistic, and realizing that he wasn't ready to be a contributor.

Will stop w/ this because I'm too in love w/ the Bulls to miss this Game 1 steal.

i thought the thing with rose was that the whole reason he tore his acl last time was because he came back too fast from an injury

somebody linked to that dr post that was like, yeah the muscles around his knee just werent strong enough and therefore he ripped the tendon. so idk it seems prudent to sit this season out. i'm all for #benchrose

that's cool if he wanted to be really really cautious and sit the season out. Just say so. He'd get some flack but I think most people would understand and story would be dead in a few days. One thing the media HATES is when they think a player is being dishonest to them...over and over again. (local media turned on him after he gave an exclusive interview to a national publication when they'd been begging for one for months)

getting destroyed on the boards is not a concern

they missed 47 shots, of course they got killed on the boards. but they lost because they missed 47 shots.

the Bulls missed 40 shots and outrebounded Miami by 14

but you can play that game with anything

the bulls also made 7 more free throws in 4 less attempts

maybe the heat should learn how to shoot free throws better

and rebound

The Heat aren't good at rebounding and it's not a positive dawg

i mean, the rebounding thing doesn't even hold water for this game

the advantage that rebounding gives you is more possessions, but the heat had more shots tonight because they forced 2x the amount of turnovers

they lost cuz they shot incredibly poorly

i never said it was a positive, i'm saying it's a red herring that people have been flogging for almost three years despite it never being proven to be correct

The Heat were number 1 in FG% and last in total rebounds.

the bulls are the better rebounding team

the heat missed many more shots than normal, so there were more available rebounds

this benefited the bulls

but the heat lost because they missed many more shots than normal, not because the bulls got more of the available rebounds
