<3 yr track Trayce!

crut i want to set up giganto speakers in a cave and blast untitled no 5 out of the left channel and metal machine music out of the right with slow LFOs on the volume on each channel

untitled no 5 made me remember something i had totally forgotten (i think i have memory problems for real), one of the best times of my life: sledding down a really steep snow-covered country road at midnight, over and over, with dozens of torn-up drunk high schoolers. we attained incredible and dangerous speeds within about 10 seconds of the descent, and then after about 30 seconds the snow would get so thin on the road that the metal runners would emit firework sparks as they grated at a ferocious volume. it sounded just like this track. <3

that's exactly the sound I was going for!! thanks man

no, thank YOU. if you can now record more sounds that recover my happiest memories from the neural ooze, i'd be much obliged

Been going on a hardware binge recently. Why? because it intersting.

Anyway, made my first live hardware only track, 'Macrobiotic Jam' (Well, I used a little bit of Ableton for sequencing and EQing/compressing). Hardware used: 707, x0xb0x, tx81z, Monotron Delay, and several guitar pedals.

Yep, liking Undertow a lot, fits in with a lot of the minimal wave stuff around at the moment.

I haven't listed this here before. The culmination of a pretty huge project, a study of dreams and dreamscapes.

Not traditional music, NWW / Hafler Trio sort of stuff. Free to download.

I have finally made a BandCamp page and collated the kinda Dark Ambient-y stuff I've been doing over the years, now I'm working on a series of EPs that will sound nothing like that, so it's good to get them out of the way.

How hard would it be to manifest and grow a Chinese house scene? What is the scene like right now?

Here's our newest track roughly. I got my Chinese friend to read some 8th century poetry on top. check it out.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXP - Hey S-, Yes! I used Audiomulch and some bass to pretty much do everything on those tracks a while ago (I was stockpiling tunes for years), when I revisited it recently it seems more involved than the free version, so I'm looking forward to bending my head back around it.

i wrote the main synth riff here thinking it was for the first track of a new EP or record, but after a few spare hours on the 4th it turned into this remix: https://soundcloud.com/chantssound/work-chants-remix

This is an improv. jamming with a drum machine on 7/4/13. 4 tracks of guitar and 1 track of an endless loop on a drum machine.

7/4/13 - I first read that as a very extreme time signature.

i posted a link to a song last month when i was drunk, before it was close to finished, and then woke up the next morning and deleted it. i had the chance to put a lot more effort into it, and now i'm a lot happier with it:

Kind of makes me think of this unfortunately soft and very muddy thing I did last year that I desperately want to re-do properly, but can't work out what chords I played on the guitar (cos I cant play guitar, ha)

https://soundcloud.com/neverembers/monday-morning-2

It is like ganging up on Enya (Trayce), Monday, 8 July 2013 09:55 (ten years ago) link

I'll take a stab at it, Trayce.
First chord sound like a straight up Dmaj.
Second chord - (E-2nd fret A-2nd fret D-muted G-2nd fret B-2nd fret E-muted)
Third chord - (E-4th fret A-4th fret D-muted G-2nd fret B-2nd fret E-muted)
Fourth chord - (E-muted A-open D-muted G-2nd fret B-2nd fret E-2nd fret)

That's at least how it sounds to my ears.

thanks Trayce! i've never actually listened to Tindersticks before. i should check them out!

S- that's a neat idea for a track. I like it - somewhere between the Beach Boys' 'Country Air' and a more experimental Pluxus.
