knicks looked so tired today

Nhex, Sunday, 5 May 2013 22:25 (ten years ago) link

@jadande: Carmelo missed 18 shots today. LeBron missed 22 shots in the entire first round.

乒乓, Sunday, 5 May 2013 22:59 (ten years ago) link

adande clearly trying to cover his tracks for his MELO MVP #1 BEST EVA vote

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Sunday, 5 May 2013 23:18 (ten years ago) link

i don't think ny writers have a territoriality over their players like a writer in a smaller market would

lol jordan, no

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Sunday, 5 May 2013 23:18 (ten years ago) link

i mean plenty of them are great but every city has legendary homers

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Sunday, 5 May 2013 23:19 (ten years ago) link

extreme homerism being the only possible explanation for the insanity of a melo first place mvp vote, besides, like, a stroke at the moment the ballot was filled out

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Sunday, 5 May 2013 23:20 (ten years ago) link

pacers looked real good but i have a parallel version of k3v's problem with carl landry with tyler hansbro

joe smith avatar (agent hibachi), Sunday, 5 May 2013 23:21 (ten years ago) link

yeah i think since we (i) follow some of the funnier and level-headed prominent knicks fans on twitter we get a biased sense of their writers' homerism, but it's definitely huge

'scuse me while i make the sky cum (k3vin k.), Sunday, 5 May 2013 23:46 (ten years ago) link

hahahaha le batard is claiming to be the melo voter

'scuse me while i make the sky cum (k3vin k.), Monday, 6 May 2013 00:43 (ten years ago) link

pretty much every single sportswriter is a professional troll, so it really could be anyone.

Clay, Monday, 6 May 2013 00:46 (ten years ago) link

hahah that's such a lebatard move

call all destroyer, Monday, 6 May 2013 00:47 (ten years ago) link

on finding out it was lebatard my enmity has 100% vanished

乒乓, Monday, 6 May 2013 01:07 (ten years ago) link

he loves trolling miami sports fans more than anyone loves anything

call all destroyer, Monday, 6 May 2013 01:16 (ten years ago) link

(though it seems to be coming out now that le batard doesn't even have an mvp vote and he is just trolling gigantically right now!?)

Clay, Monday, 6 May 2013 01:40 (ten years ago) link

lol yeah he was just trolling

'scuse me while i make the sky cum (k3vin k.), Monday, 6 May 2013 01:42 (ten years ago) link

trolling THAT he was trolling!

'scuse me while i make the sky cum (k3vin k.), Monday, 6 May 2013 01:43 (ten years ago) link

乒乓, Monday, 6 May 2013 01:44 (ten years ago) link

he's the best

call all destroyer, Monday, 6 May 2013 02:03 (ten years ago) link

le batard is the greatest because he's kind of a court jester of sorts but he still drops hammers with his writing

J0rdan S., Monday, 6 May 2013 02:43 (ten years ago) link

lol at rolling out every lousy vote cliche in the book to defend his lousy vote.

One bad call from barely losing to (Alex in SF), Monday, 6 May 2013 12:07 (ten years ago) link

sports writers are the worst

Hibbert attended Georgetown Prep in North Bethesda, Maryland. The team was coached by Dwayne Bryant, who had attended Georgetown University as a varsity basketball player. Bryant introduced the still-awkward Hibbert to the GU campus.[3] Hibbert helped make Georgetown Prep's Little Hoyas co-champions of the Interstate Athletic Conference in 2004.[4] Since Roy is an avid Pokémon fan, his teammates would often say, "Power up, big fella," to help him play harder.[5]

乒乓, Monday, 6 May 2013 12:56 (ten years ago) link

hahahaha everything makes so much sense now

J0rdan S., Monday, 6 May 2013 12:56 (ten years ago) link

call all destroyer, Monday, 6 May 2013 12:59 (ten years ago) link

lag∞n, Monday, 6 May 2013 13:11 (ten years ago) link

乒乓, Monday, 6 May 2013 14:15 (ten years ago) link

'scuse me while i make the sky cum (k3vin k.), Monday, 6 May 2013 14:17 (ten years ago) link

'scuse me while i make the sky cum (k3vin k.), Monday, 6 May 2013 14:17 (ten years ago) link

ha k definitely got to choose my color. feel like hibbert is a bulbasaur type. not flashy, kind of a tank

乒乓, Monday, 6 May 2013 14:25 (ten years ago) link

my mom bought me blue and my brother red

idk squirtle had the most defense iirc, i always chose squirtle

Roy Hibbert ‏@Hoya2aPacer 23 Apr
If y'all liked "Oblivion" y'all should heck out the 2009 movie called "Moon". Almost the same but an indie film that was dope. Watch it

i like this guy now

Nhex, Monday, 6 May 2013 15:05 (ten years ago) link

i liked him ever since his parks and rec appearances

call all destroyer, Monday, 6 May 2013 15:06 (ten years ago) link

Think he reached max goofiness level when, as a freshman, the G'town staff had to teach Hibs how to run.

yeah i think since we (i) follow some of the funnier and level-headed prominent knicks fans on twitter we get a biased sense of their writers' homerism, but it's definitely huge

Think NYC media is just kinda suffocating. Local coverage is so unforgiving w/r/t anything negative that I don't think they're more homerish than anyone else. Like, NYPost headline zings wouldn't really fly in other markets.

yeah that's kinda what i'm talking about. it's a bit more adversarial in nyc.

J0rdan S., Monday, 6 May 2013 18:01 (ten years ago) link

the post is legendary for this

Nhex, Monday, 6 May 2013 18:14 (ten years ago) link
