^^worst sub-custos non-zing of the decade

J0rdan S., Sunday, 6 January 2008 07:49 (sixteen years ago) link

weirdly i'm less put off ever wanting to hear Saigon's album by him being a crybaby on the internet than i was with Lupe. possibly because his album will at least have some good production.

Alex in Baltimore, Sunday, 6 January 2008 15:26 (sixteen years ago) link

yeah that saigon thing was so lame. but he has to blow up so i can sell this old 12 inch for LOTS OF MONEY. plus i liked that first single a lot.

is that turf talk album really that good? maybe i should get that from itunes?

M@tt He1ges0n, Sunday, 6 January 2008 17:40 (sixteen years ago) link

yeah the only reason i might dl is for an album of jb productions

that song is like if you removed every ounce of personality and creativity from crime mob. all you have left is like five lyrics and way too much screaming.

no random hate for "crank dat." it's just a fucking mess, and the catchphrase/chorus whatever isn't even good. and please take your clipse fan-hate back to eight months ago.

-- Jordan Sargent, Sunday, 5 August 2007 18:39 (4 months ago) Link

judging by the number of crank dat spongebob/spiderman/robocop response records id say the catchphrase is pretty good

"which thankfully separates him from the consequences and kwelis of the world"

hes always had a sense of humour. see: that song with ODB or brand new. consequence isnt po=faced either. kweli though, was better before he tried to show he had a SOH.

Side of Hardness?

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 10 January 2008 00:34 (sixteen years ago) link

that too.

lupes album is pretty decent IMO. still needs better beats but the new album feels less tampered with and has less annoying singers on it.

titchyschneiderMk2, Thursday, 10 January 2008 00:35 (sixteen years ago) link

i need to listen to that.

i like the scarface album too even if it sounds like hes repeating himself.

beanie sounds excellently fucking heated on his album but he has terrible nas-ian taste in production. he shouldve gotten freeway to pick for him.

pretty ho-hum if you ask me. decent chorus, some okay punchlines. i didn't want to see them fall into obscurity but if this is the first single it's probably a certainty.

guys i heard "superstar" off the cool today and i kinda liked it 0_o

BIG HOOS aka the steendriver, Thursday, 10 January 2008 21:57 (sixteen years ago) link

'superstar' is good. the rest of the cd is okay. the beats generally suck (surprise surprise) but there are like 3-4 good hooks and only a few annoying verses. the song with snoop is awes and his verse is A+
