I've told you I'm not gonna listen to this until it actually comes out.

I gave up on them shortly after Broken Ear Record - couldn't get into that one and didn't bother to listen to the next one that came out properly. How does this compare?

Rarely listen to Broken Ear Record, but yanked it out since someone mentioned it. It was better than I remember, Street Dude kinda knocked me square.

Just finally picked up the Cold Hands EP the other day. Have yet to listen, but I've not been able to find that one until now. I think this may complete my Black Dice 2" or so of shelf space...!

hold hands is my 2nd or 3rd faveourite. its kinda the crucial bridge between the early singles and b+c

Does Eric Copeland have a new record coming out on DFA this year? There's a new song called "Cannibal World" on this DFA sampler I got with the new Guerilla Toss LP. Totally missed out on the Jesus Freak record that came out in December, was that Europe only?

Good question. Bjorn lives in LA and Eric still lives in New York. I'm sure they'll put out another record eventually, but from the looks of their website, they've been busy with solo stuff...

Ha, listening to a promo of the full album now myself. Pretty good!

I really liked the pop rock of Black Bubblegum, he wrote (and apparently played solo once at Palisades in BK) all those songs on an acoustic guitar. this new one seems more in line with his most recent two: dance, techno, more of a focus on bass.

xp: not gonna lie, there's a little part of me that hates that a guy who ever thought something that dumb still gets to be a musician, and even successful at it, just like people who actually have some basic clue about music, and there's also a little part of me that loves that about music
