this is a really great interview, i'm really happy Maron worked to include Seth *and* seemingly put him at ease

yeah i was p nervous going in but they had a nice dynamic, the three of them

interesting how jonathan seemed protective of seth

kinda cool that there was so much discussion of the economics of podcasting

yeah I kinda felt like a parent listening for all the little verbal tics and the way Jonathan would step in when Seth would sound a little defensive and whatnot

and then hearing them both drop all their UYD-speak onto Maron, like Seth's dispensary has mad-AIDS and cancer looool

I did enjoy that convo about economics and why they are where they are; it did very much feel like a weirdly fatherly conversation.

I mean, I could go on like this for an hour. I just loved hearing them outside of their own show. It was great.

i think it might have been alluded to, or maybe it slipped out? it didn't strike me as totally new when he said it.

someone on the uyd forums posted saying they saw him working at one but its never been discussed on the show iirc?

now i'm thinking maybe he did come out and say it once in the last year or two, though...

I think they may have said something about it, but they also used to talk about his grandbaby Jeff in Arizona too.

By which I mean, I'm accustomed to them putting fictional information out there re: Seth.

i dont recall them mentioning it at all on uyd. i always assumed he worked in an office mostly from his fictional arguments with co-workers over stealing his chobani

i spent most of the time trying to listen through the ears of a WTF fan who'd never heard of UYD, and while I think they did a good job and sounded like their genuine selves, they didn't really accurately convey what it is that makes UYD so listenable, endearing, and hilarious (though i know that WTF is often where comedians go to not be funny and instead get real for an hour).

listening to ep 369 right now, so good. dying at weddings gone wrong. apart from ilx this is about the only thing capable of making me lol until it hurts. i've decided i'm going to listen to every episode in the near future. are the earliest episodes available anywhere? I downloaded some last year, but I'm missing a bunch and it appears as if itunes has only archived as far back as ep 76.

if you subscribe to the show on itunes you can download all of the episodes

if you're downloading directly to a phone, you'll need an app (like downcast) to get anything older than the latest 300 eps

I highly recommend you doing this. I started at episode 1 in February 2012 and finally caught up in December 2012. This was listening to multiple episodes daily. Mostly in my car to and from work and at lunch. I took the weekends off.
