Yesterday's accumulator was originally part of a 14-match bet I split into two. The back end (Barca, Dinamo Zagreb, Atletico Madrid, Fenerbahce, Kharkov and Basel) came in too.

Would have been 260-1 had I stuck with one bet.

Hats off to the few folk I know who stuck money on Hibs at half-time when they were 3-0 down and looking terrible against Falkirk on Saturday. I wasn't even for wasting a quid on it for lolz.

I can't remember the last time I won an accumulator. There's always one team ruins my both-teams-to-score and I couldn't predict rain in Glasgow in November when it comes to actual matches (see Sunderland yesterday).

Blew the lot on what I thought was a safe doubler chasing a few extra quid to catch up the other day, bah (was up to about £250). Stupid St Patrick's Athletic (forgot that they were once the "stars" of the worst game of football I've ever seen). Started again yesterday, turns out finding myself watching Czech league games on the bet365 website and cheering consolation goals is re-invigorating my interest in football a bit.

It's a really tough time of the season to bet. So many dead rubbers in the European leagues. Have been taking a bit of an interest in Japan / China but even that is waning.

May have unwittingly benefited from some jiggery-pokery this afternoon. FC Daugava were drawing 0-0 away at FK Daugava Rīga at half time but had odds of 11/1 to win - which struck me as rather high given that they are the defending champions. I put a small bet on and within two minutes the odds had shot up to 16/1 then 18/1. Bear in mind this was at half time so nothing was happening on the pitch. I put another small bet on and Daugava went on to win 1-0. I don't know how easy it would be to manipulate the odds on a relatively minor match, or how easy it would be to stop people doing it, but it was a little strange.

I managed to screw up a bet today by putting over 0.5 goals in the first half rather than in the match for one game. There was a goal in the second half after a goalless first half and everything else on my acca came in. OK, it was just for a fiver, but still, stupid mistake :(

I fucking hate betting.

Hit the bar tonight with this (had two trebles on, one with the English games which won, one which hit the bar with the CL games, decided to double them up for a sixfold, and really fucking hate Real Sociedad right now as had them on a both-teams-to-score treble as well, and looked from what I read that they were the better team so one fucking goal for three separate coupons including this belter would have been nice, eh?)

Had Liverpool / Swansea to draw and Roma / Dinamo Moscow to win at 12/1 yesterday, put some of the winnings on an enhanced treble of Madrid and both Manchester clubs to win at 4/1. If I wasn't such a low-stakes gambler I'd be rolling in it this week.
