i'm going for a burger because often i have been the victim of overeating due to leftover slices just lying there... tempting me...

I am not a big fan of caramelized onions on burgers. I feel like they have a baconish cult wrt their usage as a burger ingredient.

In my experience, pub pizza is usually one of those Findus french bread pizza things, like eating a footballer's shin guard with bits of pineapple on it.

pub pizza ime is v thin crust and cut into squares. It's a Midwest thing. usually serviceable but at its best incredible.

NO RETCH RETCH!! Granted I only eat veggie burgers so maybe they're particularly bad on them but DJP otm fancy buns fuck up burgers real fast.

I think that a good rule of thumb re: fancy burgers is "Would Elvis reject this for being too pretentious?"

carmelized onions rank up there with sundried tomatoes in the "most overrated food ingredient" stakes

in general I prefer my fruits and vegetables raw

My all time favorite pizza places are ones I actively miss. idk if I've ever felt that way abt a burger.

of course I'm in LA which is home to either super high end and overrated Mozza type pies or nightmarish "2 large pizzas for $2" spots.

Raw onion, good dill pickles and mustard are keys to burger success.

i hate raw onions. sorry.

The burgers here are on a whole much better

a great burger can easily be made in any kitchen. homemade pizza greatness is much harder to achieve.

If I was still in the US, I would vote Burger. American pizza is generally overpriced and rubbish. Like, there are no good toppings, just pepperoni and stuff? But I've had amazing pizzas with: four different kinds of mushrooms; or gorgonzola, truffels, ham and onions (yeah, I know, but the onions really tie the pizza together, surprisingly). Or just truffels and wild mushrooms. Mascarpone cheese is also absolutely amazing on pizza.

I am eating pizza right now

i had pizza for lunch and in lieu of anything else i'm pondering leftover pizza for dinner.

i went to a baseball game yesterday and at halftime they had a race between mascot-style costumed dudes representing a bag of popcorn, a slice of pizza, and a hotdog. some kid near me was screaming "go pizza!!!!" before they even began racing. popcorn knocked pizza to the ground, causing him to lose the race. we left the game immediately. i feel like pizza has been avenged today.
