Now I wonder, are there any artists who have never referred to themselves? I was going to nominate The Wiggles, but then I remembered they have several songs that go 'Ooooh wiggy-wiggy-wiggy'. Also, there are individual songs which namecheck one of the Wiggles - indeed, each Wiggle has a signature tune (eg, 'Play Your Guitar With Murray' and 'Wake up Jeff').

When I come in on the middle of a rap song on the radio that I like, I'm always kinda bummed if the rappers don't name check themselves just because the DJs don't always back-announce while I'm still in the car. Maybe that's why I like Ludicris.
